Lisa.

Lisa is a single mom of three. Her children have just been sent to live with their father, because the court felt that she 'didn't have the resources' to keep her children alive. In other words, she did not make enough money! Lisa is a nurse and tries to work late hours so that she can make more money to give to her kids.

Lisa has taken care of her children all their lives because their rotten father didn't want anything to do with them, or her. The only reason he took his children in was to make himself look good, and to spite Lisa!

Lisa loved her children and would do anything to get them back. And that is exactly what they were going to do.

"Sorry ma'am could you, please, get back into your bed.", Lisa gently helped an elderly lady, with alsymers, back into her hospital bed. She was working a double-shift and was there since 5pm. It is now 8pm, the next day! She was deathly tired and extremely dehydrated, but it would all be worth it in the end. She would get her kids back!

Lisa knew she would be poor forever, but at least if she had her children, they would make her feel rich.

"Broke", "Poor", "Tramp", "Sewer Rat", these were all names Lisa had been called by her ex-husband. His name is James, James Kirrom. He called her all of these things, because he thought he was better than her, because he is a world renowned chef. And all she was, was his wife! Lisa only finished tenth grade, before she married James. So she never had a degree or a diploma.

There wasn't much Lisa could do, without a diploma. And there was no any money left after her divorce. When she married James she signed a prenuptial agreement. She only signed the prenuptial because her mother had thought that if she did not do it, then James would leave her. And Lisa's mother was not a very loving women, no, she was more practical than that.

The divorce left Lisa with nothing, but her children, the only things that actually mattered in her life. The only way Lisa could earn money was to go on a nursing course and thereafter become a nurse. She hated her job, but it brought in the money so she had to deal with it.

"Hi, Mom! What 'er ya doing?", all that she was doing, besides working, was missing her little angels. She was on the phone with her daughters and they always took it in turns to speak to her. "Oh nothing, Angel are you enjoying yourself?", she knew her daughter were too young to understand what was really going on, so Lisa always tried to act as if she did not know either. In the background she could her her other daughters fight over who got to talk to Mommy next. She didn't care, really, as long as she got to talk to them at least once a day. Then there was a really loud, gruff, angry, male voice that was in the background and you could hear the girls gasp a little. It was James!

"What are you doing? You know that she doesn't love you! Get off the phone!", he screamed other words that are too rude for children to hear. "Okay, bye girls. I love you!", and just like that the call was over. That little time she had with her daughters,  gone! Just like that, her ex-husband ruined something that meant so much to her. Again and again, how much was she going to let him take.

I don't know how I ever loved him! How could I ever love such a monster of a man! How could I ever have a child with someone so evil? Let alone three! At least my angels aren't like him! They're angels! But what if he changes them? What if he makes them like him? They are already spending so much time with him. I need to get them back with me. I need them with me no matter what! I will get them back even if it takes forever! He will not keep them from me!

"What is going on, Sue? Why are there so many people here?", there was an influx of patients coming in through the emergency and trauma entrances. "There was a huge car crash that happened a few minutes ago. All the other hospitals are full. We're the only ones that can help!", just then it was like a flood of people with broken bones and blood covering their bodies! People just kept coming in, and it was more pain than Lisa had ever seen in her life before.

Lisa was just standing there paralysed, because she couldn't understand that people could be in more pain than her. But then someone pushed her, and reality hit. She ran to the first patient she saw and found him a bed. She started doing what any nurse would do and tried to stop his pain. He was extremely injured, but not to the point that he was going to die, at least not yet!

"What's your name, sweetheart?", she tried to use endearing names when talking to patients, especially the critical ones. "Blake. My name is Blake Mannidy!", she wrote down his name and tried to calm him down and she gave him a sedative. This man needed her help right now. It didn't matter, at that moment, what was going on in her life. The only thing that mattered right now was her patients. She could sort herself out later.
