Lisa.
"This guy isn't just some guy! He's the biggest, richest, most beautiful playboy in the country, no the continent, no the hemisphere, no, definitely, the world!". Sue said this with so much excitement that Lisa was scared that they would have to start hugging!
Why should I care if he's famous or not? Why should I care whether he's rich or not?Why should I care that he looks like a god? But why do I care? I mean he's just a patient, isn't he? No! I can't! I won't! I refuse, to fall for this man. The only thing I care about is my children.
"Is that supposed to make a difference? I mean he is just patient, so why should his name, his social status or his bank statement make any difference to how we treat him?". Lisa was surprised that these words could come out of her mouth. She couldn't understand how she, of all people, got the 'playboy' as a patient. I mean she was not the only single nurse. Why did fate have to deal her this man when she was just getting herself set up to get her girls back? Also, after she made her statement, she noticed that Sue's expression changed, and not for the better!
"Well if I were you", Sue said with a tone of irritation and jealousy, "I'd be happy I get to work with a beautiful face like that, everyday! I wouldn't be moaning about it like you! Now here's your toxicolgy report". She looked at Lisa like she was some sort of incurable sexually transferred disease. Sue held out the piece of paper as far as she could and treated it like it was diseased as well.
Lisa took the paper away from Sue and read the statistics of the god of a man that lay before her.
How can one man drink so much? How can you live a life of such leisure and be so stupid? I have nothing! But no! He has everything and he chooses to waste it! What is wrong with him? How can someone be so selfish? How can someone be so selfish and beautiful at the same time?

"Good morning, Sir! How are you feeling today?", she said these words with so much hatred that every syllable almost hit Blake in the face. She hated what he did with his life, and she would show him EXACTLY how she felt.
"I'm fine! Now bring me a drink.", Blake did not want to be here. He remembered being in the hospital and an angel of a woman speaking to him, but he needed alcohol, and he needed it now! He did not even notice that this person who was speaking to him was his 'angel'.
"No! You will not be consuming any alcohol for a long time, Mr. Mannidy!", she said these words with more venom than any snake could, "We got a toxicology report on you last night, and you were way above the legal limit. We have to submit it to your insurance, and the other people who were in the accident!".
He put seven other people in hospital! Seven! Now he's here trying to get more alcohol. Who does he think he is. 'Oh I'm Blake Mannidy, I'm a strip club owner, I'm so hot!'. Oh please you're just a drunk! Wait did I just call him hot!
Blake carried on talking, but Lisa was too upset to hear what Blake was saying. She nodded whenever he looked as though he had made a point, but she did not actually care what that point was.
Eventhough Lisa did not care about what he said, she thought that the fact that he never looked her was disgusting. How could you not look at someone who just told you that there is a very good chance that you are going to jail.
This man is mad! How could you not look at someone who is going to be taking care of you for ... for... who knows how long! I should just pull out his catheter. Yeah, we'll see how that feels. Wait! I won't do anything to him. Because now he'll know, at least a little, of how I feel! Maybe his life in hospital or prison will feel as bad as my life with my family. That's what happens when you waste something as precious as a life! I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison! No! I hope he's in prison forever!
As soon as it looked as if Blake had finished speaking, Lisa walked off.
She had other patients to take care of, he was not any more important than anyone else. It didn't matter how beautiful he was or how extremely loaded he was. This was a hospital full of dying people, and he, definitely, did not deserve any more attention to anyone else. Well, at least that is how Lisa felt.

Later that day Lisa finished her shift and went home. She slammed the door shut, and as soon as she did that she regretted it. She knew that her mother would have heard the door being slammed and now she would ask what the matter was. And Lisa was not up to talking about her horror of a day. All she wanted now was to relax. But the stress of today took a toll on her. You could see it in the fuzziness of her hair, the sweat stains on her back, the way her nails were chipped at the end and the tears that were forming in her eyes.
Lisa could not even remember why today was such a bad day. She could not understand what event had lead to today being so miserable for her.
But in truth she did know. She knew that she made her entire day about that one situation, that one person. She based her whole day on what happened with Blake. And she based her mood off of what she felt about him. But not what she felt with or for him.
