Lyric and I waited in the back ready to perform. It was her first award show performance but she wasn’t even nervous one bit. I remember my first time, performing I mean I was a wreck at first but I had her backstage cheering me on. “So you ready” I asked her. “Yeah I’m so excited” she stated. “For our next performance we have the winners of best R&B Duet. Give it up for Miss Lyric and Trey Songz as they perform their hit single “Hood Love”. The crowd cheered as Lyric and I stepped from backstage. I looked over at Lyric and smiled, she returned the smile so I then signal for the music to start playing.

We got a standing ovation Lyric was all smiles, enjoying it all. As we left the stage and went to the back I grabbed Lyric and pulled her into a kiss in. I felt such a strong connection while we were on stage; she had to feel it too. My hands wrapped around her waist as I intensify the kiss the connection still going strong. After a couple of seconds had passed I pulled away hoping to see a smile on her face but when I see a shocked and scared look on her face instead I regret doing it. Lyric looks at me runs off to her dressing room. I run after her “Lyric wait” I called. I grabbed her she was crying. “Why did you do that” she asked hitting me as I held her. “I’m sorry wait you know what I’m not I had to do it” “Do you know what you have done?” she asked. “I did something we both wanted to do for so long” I said to her. She shook her head, pulling away from me and walked in her room.

I couldn’t shake the feeling I felt when me and Trey kissed it was wonderful, magical, sensational. But was it considered cheating if I didn’t kiss back even though I wanted to. I sat at my vanity staring at the image in the mirror. “What are you doing Lyric?” I asked myself. “I have to tell Michael but how do I?” I said.
