Chapter 9

Both you and Leia reach the ship just when the sun dissapeared turning the sky orange.

Sweat rolled down your faces as you both panted trying to catch your breath.

"I thought I told you to be here at sunset!", yelled Luke standing outside the ship with his hands on his hips like a mother scolding her children.

When you finally caught your breath you straightened up to see Luke wearing a sock monkey beanie on his head. Laughter erupted from you causing him blush trying to be serious.

"Awe! It looks good on you brother!",smiled Leia giving him a hug.

When she released him she looked to the ship to see three figures coming outside. The parking lights from the ship came on lighting up the huge area around you. General had his cloak off wearing in the gold chain necklace you got him, Han wore his blue knitted scarf, and Chewie wore a brown fluffy scarf holding a brown teddy bear in his arms.

Looks like the guy's like their presents.

Leia on the other hand, started laughing when she saw them. Chewie came up to you lifting you up from the ground in a big hug. He put you back down as Han gave you a hug too.

"Thank you for the gifts!", he smiled,"those parts you got helped the ship a lot!"

"You're welcome. I just hope your Hyper Speed will kick in this time to make the journey back home faster."

General gave you a hug,"thank you Angel."

You looked around to see Maul nowhere in sight.

"Where's Maul?", you asked General while the others made fun of Luke and his beenie.

He nodded twoards the woods,"he went to meditate next to the river over there. Be careful Angel."

You gave him a playful punch before you started jogging in the direction he nodded to. While you weaved through the woods you look down into your hand at what the vendor, Reddick, gave you before you left.

It was a silver chain necklace with a clear crystal for the pendant. Putting the necklace on you stop the edge of the tree line where the rocky bank started leading to a small river.

Maul sat on a boulder in a meditative sitting position next to the water with his back to you. An idea popped into your head making you stop. Your gaze focused on a small pebble in front of you on the beach. Using the force, the pebble lifted from the ground throwing itself at Maul's head making impact.

"Damn it Luke! I warned you!", he growled quickly turning around with his hand on his lightsaber.

He paused realizing it was you. Letting out a sigh, he sat back down on the rock back in the position he was in.

"What are you doing out here by yourself?", you asked walking up to him as he watched.

He slowly closed his eyes,"I am trying to channel the power I got from you through my body. But I do not have enough to do so. The battle I had with my Master's assassin and the Stormtroopers made me use some of it up."

"What do you need me do to help?"

Maul opened his eyes giving you a warm smile from your offer,"I just want you to be near me."

"Do you need to mate with me to gain more power?"

He shook his head,"no. That will not be necessary. Although, it would be nice but not be necessary in this case. We have already made that contract. You feel as though your powers are doing nothing, but with you near me my body soaks it in like the sun. I have noticed lately that you are getting used to your new powers compared to back then. I am proud of you Angel. Especially after-"

His voice died down as he remembered what happened to you. You walked up to him taking his head into your hands making him look up at you.

"I'm here now. The next time something happens we'll be ready",you smiled taking the bracelet out from the box putting it on Maul's left wrist.

Turning his wrist he examined the metal band until the red crystal from the heart started to beat in red.

"That's my heartbeat", you said causing him look up at you surprised.

You showed him your bracelet doing the same as his,"and this is yourse."

Tears started to form in Maul's eyes as he looked back to his bracelet.

"I'll always be with you Maul. No matter where you are, or what planet you're on, you will always have a part of me with you. I know when I was taken it destroyed you. That will never happen ever again."

"Angel?"

"Yes?"

He stood up looking down at you with a smile as a tear gently rolled down his cheek.

Maul....

"I love you."

Those words chimed in your ears as tears swelled in your eyes hearing him say those three words for the first time.

"I love you too."

He bent down caressing your face kissing you on the lips under the dimly lit night sky as the stars glistened above.
