After the door shut, Blake pulled up a chair for me to sit in. I nodded and sat down, crossing my arms. Devin sat in the chair and pulled his sleeve up from his arm. He held it on the armrest as Blake got ready. He glanced over at me every now and then, shooting me a devilish smirk. Devin was shaking, slightly excited. "Will it hurt?" He asked to him, jumping in the seat. Blake shook his head and smiled. "No, it will only feel like digging your fingernail into your skin, gently." He replied, starting up the machine. "You ready?" He asked Devin, smiling. He nodded and held his breath as the needle sunk into his arm.

I, of course, did not like seeing an injection take place but I couldn't see it at all. It was blocked by Blake's hand. I watched Devin's arm cringe as the ink flourished in his skin. Blake glanced up at me. "So... you're Devin's girlfriend?" He asked. My eyes narrowed. That was a dumb question. Who the hell else would I be? I thought. I smiled at him. "Of course! I came to comfort him." I replied. He chuckled and continued to work at Devin's arm. "Comfort him? Are you implying that he was scared?" He smirked at Devin teasingly. I shook my head. "I actually was curious to see how you tattoo artists do it." I remarked.

Devin looked over at me. "You're going to help me with our Civics homework..." He ordered, pointing at me with his free hand. I frowned and snapped my teeth at him playfully. "You have a notebook, don't you?" I grumbled. He laughed. "Yes, but I really need help on some units." He replied. Blake looked up slightly. "Jen..." He said, trying to catch my attention. I looked over at him. "You like to draw, right?" He asked. I smiled, "Well, I'm good at some things but I'm not as good as you are..." I complimented him. He frowned, "If you are good, then I want you to show me some of your work. The only reason I say this is because some of my clients have said that before and they sometimes have beaten me at it." He said.

I nodded and looked down. Very serious. Very intimidating. Very... broken. Has he always been like this? I said to myself, baffled by his personality. He was heavily concentrated on the tattoo. I was curious to know more about him. I was hungering for more. I sighed and stared up at him. Devin stroked my dark brown hair with his free hand. He smiled. "You look beautiful, Jen..." He said. I scoffed, "You always say that either when I'm deep into thought or when I'm upset..." He frowned. "Which are you then?" He asked. I shook my head. "Deep into thought..." I replied.

Blake glanced up at me. "You don't think I see you staring at me over there?" He said. I looked back down and shuffled my feet. "Sorry..." I apologized. He held up one hand. "Don't be... I'm only screwing around with you." He chuckled. I smiled slighty and studied the tattoos on his arms and neck. Some of them were plants such as vines and roses while others were gaming characters like Mario and Link. Very interesting...

After 40 minutes, the tattoo was finished. Devin jumped up from the seat and stretched. I stood up and looked around the room once more. Blake had already been standing as he was putting stuff away. Devin searched through his wallet for the bills he was searching for to pay. I started to walk into the lobby but before I could, Blake grasped onto my shoulder. I turned my head to him. "Eh... yes?" I asked. He leaned close to my ear. "I want you to come back next week. I want you to show me your artwork..." He whispered. I looked up into his silver eyes. So dark and demanding...

I nodded and walked out with Devin. Devin sighed. "That went better than I expected..." He remarked after paying for the bill and walking out. I smirked and chuckled. "You have no idea..."
