Chapter 30

Jisoo slowly opened her eyes. Her forehead was hurting a little because of the stitches. Her lower jaw was aching a little. Jennie could really punch. But she couldn't move her left arm. She glanced to her side. Her lips turned into a quick smile. Jennie was sleeping with her arms overlapping with her left arm.

She gently caressed Jennie's hair which prompted Jennie to stir in her sleep. The younger lady slowly opened her eyes and met with Jisoo's deer-shaped eyes. She sprang up immediately in her seat and leaned closer.

"Jisoo!"

Her eyes were concerned. Jisoo could see the intensity of Jennie's concerned eyes and she felt guilty for pulling that prank on her.

"I'm sorry."

"Huh?"

"I pulled such a nasty prank on you. I must have scared you to death."

"If you're not my lover, I'd kill you for sure."

Jisoo stuck her tongue out but Jennie just pulled her closer. She hugged the older one tightly; tears started trickling down her cheeks and Jisoo could feel the wetness on her shoulders. She gently pulled Jennie away from her and was alarmed at the amount of tears brimming in her girlfriend's eyes. Jisoo softened her gaze and then kissed her younger girlfriend on her lips.

"I'm sorry. I know it's my bad."

"I don't care about that anymore. I'm just glad that you're here; you're alive. That's all that matters to me now."

Jennie realized how much she needs Jisoo in her life. She made a promise to herself that she'd never let Jisoo's hand go. That girl belonged to her. Jisoo winced slightly and Jennie pulled her away. The older girl was scrunching her eyes.

"Does it still hurt?"

"Yes, surprisingly it does. You could really punch."

"I have no idea where I got the strength from. I was scared to death."

Jisoo bit her lower lip and stuck her tip of the tongue out. Jennie rolled her eyes but leaned closer to kiss Jisoo's forehead gently.

"You better lie down."

"Where are you going?"

"I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay here with you."

"But I'm hungry."

Jennie looked at her girlfriend before grabbing her purse. She kissed her again.

"Wait here, I'll go to the cafeteria."
