That one girl would give everyone compliments,
help those who fell or tripped,
and invited the new kid to her table.
That one girl would smile a lot,
jokes and teases herself,
and be there when her friends were sad.
That one girl was a girl who was looked up to,
and was thought of as a mentor.
As a role model.
That one girl was hiding,
and letting her emotions be locked away,
throwing out the key.
That one girl would let herself become weaker,
and face the painful fears on her own,
not wanting to drag anyone down with her.
That one girl would bring others up,
succeeding in helping her loved ones.
Yet was lacking in finding a way,
to help herself.
That one girl used to shining brighter than the sun,
and seemed like she lived perfectly.
That one girl used to encourage others,
with a supporting passion like no other,
and laughed and smiled mostly all the time.
That one girl used to let her fake grins show,
and hide the ugly horrors underneath.
Not letting anyone see the disgusting, vile,
vulgar side that she hated.
That one girl use to deal with her feelings,
and cope with her terrifying thoughts.
Just keep going.
Just k e e p o n g o i n g
That one girl would battle to the end,
and return with new energy on the field daily.
But alas, that girl's strength faded away,
and the brave warrior collapsed.
Losing the battle.
