The ambush can out of no where. Since humans didn't now about the peace and everything, seeing an elf and a girl with wings next to the missing step prince is bad news. I barely had time to react to stop the arrow that was aimed at Rayla's heart. I shoved her out the way, shifting into my sun-serpent form. But shoving her out the way didn't stop the arrow. I screamed in pain as the arrow sank into my thigh, collapsing to the ground as the world shifted a bit. No. No no nonononono. I refuse to give up that easily. I sprang to my feet, ripping the arrow out and shooting it back not missing, hitting a man in the chest. I set my self on fire, wincing as the fire hurt my cut. I spun knocking over all the guards setting them on fire at the same time. I rolled smothering out the flame shoving my head though Rayla and Callum's leg putting them on my back and started flying spinning, missing all of the arrows.

"You need to stop hurting your legs to save me Summer!!!" yelled Rayla. I smiled wincing at how much my leg hurt. I flew upwards into the clouds, panting trying to settle my racing heart. We were in a 5 minute range of the castle when something happened. One minute I was flying the next I was falling. I was shot. A ballista shot though the clouds and stabbed me in the chest. I screamed, wings failing. The metal was cold, freezing making me feel like I was shoved into frozen lake. Like it was so cold that I seemed to be burning my insides. But I couldn't die. I promised to protect Rayla and Callum. My eyes snap open. I knew what I had to do. Rayla and Callum had fallen off my back and I spread my wings, snatching them and lowered to the ground. I dropped then gently to the ground and continued to glide along. Loosing myself I smashed into the top of the wall of the kingdom of Katolis, smashing right though. I hit the ground with such force I left a gorge in the ground.

The world spun, everything becoming kinda shiny. I gasped feeling a lot like a fish out of water, gasping for air unable to breathe. I could taste the metal and blood in my mouth. I heard yelling, people shouting orders, someone crying, people screaming but all of it was kind of slurred matching the blurriness of my view. I continued to gasp for air being the loudest thing I could hear so far. I gazed up staring into the sun. It was really bright...... My eyelid began to drop. Someone was crying and shaking my shoulders? I slowly opened my eyes to find Ezran before me. I smiled the world flashing white. "S-s-s-summer" Ezran sobbed holding my head up. "Hi Ezran" I said woozily. "WHO DID THIS!??!?" he yelled in the most angry voice I have ever heard him used. The soldiers stood before he confused expression over there face. "But King it our enemy" "I DON'T CARE! GET A DOCTOR!!!" He yelled sending some confused guards running for a doctor. Ez was crying whispering to me to not die, that I would be ok and to stay with him.

I closed my eyes and thought about everything. I had a short life but I had everything. Being with Rayla and Callum and Ezran and Zym, they had shown the world to me. They made me a better person. Opened my eyes to find Rayla and Callum now there and somehow Rayla wasn't in prison, for her hood wasn't on. They too were crying. I looked down at my chest were the ballista was still in my chest, blood now seeping every were. Then Claudia was there. She was desperately racing though her bag clearly trying to do something. Rayla was hugging Callum and Ez was hugging me (mainly my head since I was still a sun-serpent). My body became numb and I couldn't feel anything and then the world began to drop out.

I blinked. I looked down to find me? I looked around to see my dying body, soaked in blood heaving upwards for every breath. Rayla, Callum and Ez were all crying and the doctor came sprinting out of the building. Claudia, now with Soren next to her, had finally found what she was looking for. She held it in her hand and started chanting, reaching out and touched the ballista. That's when it started to hurt. I screamed in agony and instantly started to be pulled down, back to my body. I squirmed, feeling like my soul was set on fire. I snapped back into reality, screaming in pain. The ballista turned purple then white and then to dust. My wound stitched it self back up and I subconsciously shifted back to a human. I gasped, feeling my heart restart and fell into a slumber.
