"What's your name?" Rayla asked. "Summer" I said smoothly. "Why were you following us?" Callum asked gently putting Zym on the floor. "Well," I said, pausing trying to find a way to express it, "Ezran saved me and I simple returned the favour" I said with a shrug, "He wanted me to look out for you and I did since I don't have a real home" "You don't have a home?" Rayla stuttered with a sad expression. I nodded feeling hollow and woozy, stretching I yawned showing off my long canines. "Dose your leg hurt?" asked Rayla admiring a long scratch down my leg that was from the wolf I killed. I let out a quiet whine and nodded, "It will heal in the sun." "It's been a ... long night I think we should rest now" Callum reassured as Zym waded over to me, collapsed and started sleeping. "Yes, that would be a good idea" Rayla declared confidently still looking at my leg. We laid down to sleep, but I still couldn't believe I actually killed that wolf, I laid there and let the guilt over run me as I stared at my hands which were still covered in its blood.
The worming, twisting feeling in my stomach was gone in the morning letting me wake up to the screaming, agonising pain from my leg. I looked down at my injury and the small pool of blood that had grown rapidly over night painting my pants red. I frowned at it and nearly rolled over on top of Zym. I looked over to were Rayla and Callum were, Callum being on the floor and Rayla on a thick branch that stuck out of the tree with both of them still sleeping. I noticed that there were mushrooms everywhere making a sort for staircase going up and down the tree, and that there were some above me in the sunlight, for were we laid was over lapped with leaves. I gently inch away for Zym so I didn't wake him up and pulled myself, trying to not scream in pain, up on to the mushroom in the light. Being in the sun light was all I needed for the pain to almost disappeared but then slowly can back a bit. Having nothing to do I reached for my pouch around my neck, opened it and tipped out five different coloured stone. With my fist I drilled a small hole into the top of the mushroom and placed them in there, so I didn't loose them.
Each one of these stone were actually real objects that I love or love to do. First there is the silver and purple, the silver stone turns into a camera where I take picture of things and the purple stone is technically meant to be with the silver stone cause it's a photo book were all the pictures I take, go. Then there is the ivory green and amber orange stones, they aren't connected but I use them at the same time, the green stone turns into a sketch book that I draw in and the orange stone turns into a small flat square that plays music. And the last stone I have, the burnt red crimson stone contains the only belongings I have, flipping out into a suitcase that I can put stuff in. I put all the stones back but the orange and green stones. Gently I traced a small sun with eight rays come out of it on the orange stone and it started to grow rapidly and change shape into a small flat square disk with one cord that separated into two at the end. There was two circle things at the end, and I put them in my ears and pressed the circle button on the disk. Instantly calming music with a sharp melody filled my ears and I felt infinity times better, then I traced the same symbol on the green stone, and it changed into and green leather sketch book and an ivory pencil.
I flipped to a clear page and started sketching random things like one of those plants that eat bugs, a moon-moth complete attracted to Rayla's powers, landed on her leading to her waving it away in her sleep, and a clouded Leopard that was so still it seemed like it wanted me to draw it. But it leapt away when Zym let out a happy squawk and near rolled into the wolf's and my blood. Completely forgetting about my leg, I slid down wincing at the contact with the floor, walked over to Zym, gently picked him up and moved him far away from the blood. Once that was done, I stared at the blood seeing if it would disappear by just looking at it. Of course, it doesn't work like that. I remembered that I was still covered in blood and should probably wash it off. I looked around for a bit and found a small trickle of water going down the side of the tree, and I peered down over the edge to find a weird kind of fungi that had water in it. I looked back to my new maybe-friends, who were still asleep. It won't kill them to walk up with me gone. I fluttered down onto the rim turning into a sun-serpent and gently dipped myself into the water. I nearly yelped in pain when the coldness of the water kissed my scratch as I floated on top of the surface washing off the blood. The wound spurted out some blood but stopped seconds later. Once all the blood was washed off, I padded over to the edge climbed out, shaking off all the water turn back to a human. I untied the tie around my waist and tied it around my scratch, it hurt but tied it tightly anyway.
After half climbing, half flapping I got back to the mushroom Rayla and Callum was on. I laid there half dangling off the edge to find Rayla giving me a weird face saying do you need my help? "Please just h-h-help me" I gasped. She smiled reached down and carefully host me up. "What were you doing down there any way?" Rayla asked, "Did you fall?" "Oh no," I said with a little whine quickly glancing at the pool of blood on the floor, "I didn't fall I just went down there to wash off the blood" "Oh, I see" said Rayla following my glance and then looked back at me. "Look, you saved our lives" Rayla consoled grabbing my shoulders, "what you did was right okay? That wolf would have killed me no matter was I did because it was enchanted, it wasn't even real" Rayla's words settled into my head slowly, if it wasn't real then it doesn't have a real life, then... I killed nothing. The feeling of being unchained form guilt was remarkably, I felt happy and less upset at myself. "And it looks like you were busy this morning" Rayla said looking at the blood smudged all over the mushroom I was on. "Oh, yes I woke up first, so I drew for a bit" I replied reaching up to my necklace. "With what?" Rayla asked. "With what?" I said confused. Suddenly a loud groan broke our chat. Both me and Rayla turn around to find Callum being attacked by Zym. I let out a chuckled, picking Zym up and said to him "Are you hungry?" and Zym let out a loud squawk say 'yes' written on it, I laughed and said, "Then let's go get something eat."
