Three months later.
Danny was taking off his last brace today. All the bruises, broken bones and cuts had healed away. Danny was back to himself.
“Lets celebrate” He said.
“How?” I asked.
“Dinner” He said.
“I’m fine with that.” I said. I wanted to ask him something, something that had been picking at me. “When do I get to see the wedding arrangements?” I asked
“The day of our wedding.” Danny responed.
“ No fair.” I complained.
“But don’t worry, its going to be perfect.” he assured me.
“Its in three days and I havent even seen my dress! What if it doesn’t even fit correctly?“ I complained.
“It will. Why do you think you’ve been having fittings ever three weeks the past couple of months? I want it to be perfect. And a complete surprise for you” He said.
“Ugh.”
“C’mon babe. I know the perfect cute small restaurant we can go to” Danny said. We got ready and headed out. We arrived at a very cute small elegant restaurant. Everyone was dressed casual though. I loved it.
“Table for two, please” Danny said.
“Of course, right this was sir,” The waiter escorted us to a beautiful table next to the window. It was gorgeous. “Here are your menu’s I’ll be back to take your order soon” he said and walked off.
“What do you feel like?” Danny asked
“Steak” I answered
Danny smiled, “I love you” he said.
“I love you too.” I responded.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned, shocked to see Mari standing before me.
“Jade! How long has it been?” she said. She gave me a hug.
“Wow, Mari. How are you?” The first thing I noticed was her stomach. Instead of having those perfect hips and the perfect flat stomach she had, a nice big round tummy was before me.
“I’m good, I’m good. Why haven’t you been at school?” She asked,
“I dropped out”
“Oh really?” she said, “Why?”
“Because I already have everything I could ever want” I said. She smiled
“Oh my god, look at that ring!” she said, “Finally popped the question danny?”
“Yeah” Danny said. He looked quite unconfterable.
“You look so vibrant,” I chiped in.
“Thank you!” she said,
“How many months?
“Four” she said. “Almost five.”
“Whos the dad?” I asked. This should be good.
“Nathan” she said.
“Well congratulations!”
“Thank you again! Well, I’ll leave now. Don’t wanna be a third wheel or anything. Just wanted to say hi” she said. She gave us one last smile and walked away. Me and Danny ordered and ate in silence. It wasn’t until we were close to home that Danny finally said something.
“So. Pregnant” He said.
“I’m honestly not surprised.” I said.
“Babies. Adorable arent they.”
“Yeah”
“Sure would be cute to have one…”
“What are you hinting at?” I asked.
Danny smiled. “Nothing.”
“Are you trying to tell me you wanna have kids?” I asked, a bit shocked.
“Well, it would be nice to have a little one running around the house. You know, besides your puppy” He said
“I’ll tell you what. After out wedding, I’ll have all the crazy unprotected sex you wamt, so that I may end up pregnant and you may get your wish.” I offered.
‘Deal” Danny said, he looked over at me and smiled. I gave him a quick kiss then went back to watching the road.
“So, I’ve planned a little spa day for you and your bridesmaid’s.” Danny said, “I made you guys a reservation from three to seven. Me and the guy’s bachloret party starts at nine”
“No strippers?”
“For the millionth time, no.” danny said.
“Sorry, but a girl can never be too careful, you know?” I said
Danny smiled. We went and picked up the rest of the bridesmaids and danny dropped us off at the spa. Those were the best four hours of my life. The massage was magnificent, the mud bath was fun and everything in-between was fabulous. We laughed, we talked, we shared stories all while getting papmpered. We were so happy. Finally, it came the time that we all had to go home.
