"Baby. Baby." Zoe said in panicked tone. "What? What's wrong?" I shot up. "There's a man by the edge of the woods looking up to this window." She said frightened. I rushed to the window and looked at the edge of the woods, but saw no one. "No one's there Hermoso." I closed the curtains back.
"Papi I swear I saw someone." She explained with all honesty. "Well if he was there, he must've ran back into the woods where hopefully the patrol got him." I explained. She wrapped her arms around my neck and sighed. "Hold me." Was all she said. I wrapped my arms around her waist and just sat there holding her tightly, afraid if I let go I might lose her.
'Son. Meeting's about to to start.' My dad said. 'On my way.' I responded. I broke the hug and grabbed her hand. "Come on." We left the room and went to first floor. We entered the meeting room and walked towards the stage. I sat a seat away from brother and put Zoe next to me.
"Everyone is to be silent. Now." My father demanded. They all went quiet. "Now I was told by my son, Fernando, to schedule this meeting. He has something important to say." He motioned for me to come up.
I went up to the podium and cleared my throat. "Last night, around one o' clock in the morning, I received a message saying that I myself along with this pack is in danger. Don't ask who delivered the message, that information is confidential." I said. "Why should we believe this?" My brother asked. "Because I don't know if you have or have not noticed, but there's this dark figure that comes and disappears into the woods." I turned around.
"Yeah right." Amanda rolled her eyes. "Okay. Fine. Don't believe me. But if someone comes up missing or dead, don't say I didn't warn you." I pointed at her. "Okay say we were ACTUALLY in danger. What do you want us to do?" Hernandez spoke. "Train everyday. From today going on, train." I spoke.
"This is a bunch of bull." Someone said from the crowd. I heard agreements going on. "Alpha! Alpha!" A man came running into the room. "What?" My dad got up. "We spotted someone on the way back. His face was too hard to make out, almost like a dark figure." When he said that, everyone gasped. "What?" The guy shrugged. "Remember what I said. Everyone's dismissed." I left the podium and grabbed Zoe's hand. I led her to the door and opened it.
We both went back upstairs and into my room. "So that was the dream I'm guessing." Zoe sat on my bed. "Ding ding ding." I said playfully. "I'm scared." She said shaking. "Don't worry. I'm here. I'll protect you." I placed my hands on her cheeks. "Not for me. For you." She looked up.
"I'll be fine baby. Promise." I kissed her forehead. "How was I lucky enough to get a mate like you?" Zoe asked. I chuckled. "Because you deserved it." I told her. She smirked at me and threw me on the bed.
She climbed on top of me and started kissing me. I kissed her back and tried to bring my hands to her, but she grabbed them and put them over my head. "I'm in control here." She said seductively and continued to kiss me. She went to my neck and started kissing me in the spot where she would soon mark me.
She pulled my shirt and I took it off. She growled as she stared at my chest and abs. "Mine." She said before coming back up to kiss me. I pulled her shirt off, exposing her white bra. She continued to kiss me until my phone started to ring.
I groaned loudly. Zoe giggles and got off of me. I growled and grabbed my phone. "Hello?" I asked annoyed. "Hello Fernando." An unfamiliar voice said. "How did you-" he cut me off. "That information is confidential." He said the same words I said ten minutes ago. "Who are you?" I asked sitting up. "I'm someone you should fear." The man responded.
"Sorry but being afraid of a guy behind a fucking phone that won't even tell his name is not what I do." I said getting up. "Oh is that so." He said surprised. "Yes. And I'm about to fucking hang up." I said. "You can't." He said. "And why's that?" I asked. "Curiosity eats away at you. No matter how bad you want to hang up, you desperately want know who I am." The guy said.
