Zoe gave me a worried look as I slowly picked the phone up. I answered it and put it towards my ear. "Hello?" I answered.
"Oh Hello Fernando." Phoenix answered. "What do you want this time?" I asked sitting up.
"Ahh nothing. I was just bored." He responded. I sighed in frustration. "Don't worry too much bud. We'll meet soon." He chuckled. "Define soon." I told him. "Meaning in-" he stopped suddenly then chuckled.
"You almost got me you sly dog." He said surprised. I growled. "Welp. This has been fun. Short, but fun. Bye Fernando." He said. "Bye Phoenix." I said and hung up. I put my head in my hands and groaned. "Papi?" Zoe called.
"Yes Hermoso?" I looked at her. "When he calls next time," she grabbed my hand. "Maybe I should answer." She squeezed my hand. "No. I'm not allowing that." I said. "It's worth a try." She said lightly. "The final answer's no." I laid back down.
She climbed on my back. "Get off." I said in my pillows. "Nope. I kinda like this position." Zoe giggled. I chuckled and just laid there. I looked at my clock and saw that it had only been thirty minutes. Ehh it's not too early to work out. "Babe let me up." I told Zoe. "I don't wanna." She responded.
"I swear you're a child trapped in a teenager's body." I said making her giggle. She got up and I followed shortly after. I went into my bathroom and brushed my teeth. After doing that I put on some deodorant and left my bathroom. I went to my drawer and grabbed a pair of shorts and a grey Dri-fit shirt.
"Where are you going?" Zoe asked. "The gym. Get dressed." I told her. She nodded and stood up. She grabbed some jogging pants, a shirt, and a hoodie. I put my shoes on and grabbed Zoe's hand. I opened the door and led her downstairs to the gym. I entered and turned on only one light.
I sat Zoe in the chair and kissed her. "I love you." I told her. "I love you more." She responded. I smiled and went to go workout. I started by stretching. After finishing I started to workout.
An hour later
I growled as I finished my last rep. I stood up and leaned on the wall. C'mon Fernando. One more set. I looked at Zoe and saw she was taking pictures of me. I chuckled and laid back down on the bench. I picked the bar up and started my last set. "One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten." I clenched my teeth and lifted it one last time.
"Not surprised to see you here." I heard my brother's voice. I sat up and looked at him. "Very surprised to see you here." I told him. He chuckled. He looked at Zoe. "Look Zoe. I know you might not believe me but...Amanda is really sorry for what she said to you. She was just trying to look out for you. Whatever that means." He said.
He turned his attention back to back to me. "You finished?" He asked. I nodded and stood up. I wiped the sweat away from my head and walked towards Zoe. I felt a hand grip my arm and stop me. "Zoe now has my trust." Hernandez whispered. I gave him a small smile and nodded. He smiled at me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"My baby brother." He said. I smiled again and patted his hand. "Well go. You're mate awaits." He said. I walked to where Zoe was. "If you don't mind me asking, what did your brother tell you?" Zoe said standing up. "Something very, very good." I said gathering my things. She nodded and we left.
We made our way upstairs and back to our room. I opened the door and let her enter first. "Fernando." I heard my name. I turned around and saw my father. He motioned for me to go to him. "Babe." I called Zoe. She walked towards me and grabbed my hand.
We walked hand in hand to my father's room. We entered and closed the door behind me. "Yes sir?" I asked my father. "So I've made the calls. Two have agreed to stay in gated communities around the state. Other states have received the warning and are now training with their neighboring packs." My father informed me.
I nodded. "So when will me meet these new packs? And who are they?" I asked. "The Black fang pack and the Shadow Stalker Pack. We'll meet them Friday." My father explained. I nodded once more. "You're getting bigger." He chuckled. I did as well.
"Well, that's all. You may leave." He said. I stood up and grabbed Zoe's hand. We left the room and made our way back to my room. I went into my bathroom and took a quick shower. I hopped out and put on boxers and shorts.
I walked out of my bathroom and hopped in bed. "Why must you tease me?" Zoe whined. I chuckled and pulled her onto me. "It's not intentional. This is what I normally do." I shrugged. "You look so hot babe." She smirked and started rubbing my abs.
I slid my hand up her thighs and to her butt. "Don't start anything you can't finish." I said huskily. She leaned down slowly and started to kiss my neck. I groaned and slid my hands up her shorts and squeezed. "Mmmm papi." She moaned.
I was interrupted when my phone rang. I sighed and grabbed it. "Hello?" I answered. "Strike one." Was all he said. "What?" I asked confused. "You hung up on me in the middle of a conversation. Strike. One." He said. "Okay listen." I gently moved Zoe off of me and sat up.
"I know who you are. Phoenix. I have absolutely no idea what you want from me or my pack but whatever the hell it is isn't worth starting a war over." I growled. "I told you what I wanted. Little Zoe." I can sense his smirk. "Never gonna happen." I said. "Oh it will. Because if it doesn't kiss her and every pack around the world goodbye." He growled.
"Ok ok explain this to me. What does Zoe have that you want so badly?" I asked. "Simple. She's the hottest girl I've ever seen in my life. If, no when I get her, I'll strip her of her wolf, but not the powers. We'll be the most powerful beings in the world." He explained.
"It's. Not. Happening." I said through gritted teeth. "Oh look at the time. Got to go. But before I go I would watch out for some of the people in your pack." He said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I never said I didn't have people working for me in your pack." He said and hung up.
I sat the phone down slowly and put my head in my hands. "Baby?" Zoe called. I didn't answer. I heard footsteps come in front of me. I felt Zoe grab my hands and revealed my face. She was in the squat position. Everything will be O.K. I promise." She grabbed my face and kissed me.
My mind kept going back to what he said. I never said I didn't have people working for me in your pack. How was he able to get people to work for him when they haven't even met him. "We still haven't finished..." she said seductively. I growled and grabbed her.
That's how the rest of the morning was spent. Me and Zoe making love to each other.
