Genos, I-I...Like You

Your POV

It was finally the day I'm gonna confess to Genos that I like him. I looked at myself in the mirror.

I still had Kakashi's headband on. Ever since he lend it to me, he's been face bared, showing that scar over his eye, but still with the face mask on.

"No, no, no, just keep it until you leave, all right. It's been so long, and it makes me so proud to see you in the headband," he had said.

I removed it only for this time and set it carefully on the dresser. I wore a black sleeveless thin hoodie and a black skirt with yellow high top converse.

I didn't have small pieces of nice clothes, so this will just do for now. I mean, we're not on a date yet.

After I checked my butt, I faced the mirror and puffed my chest out in a "post up" body language.

"I got this," I raised my chin up. "He likes you already, and you like him, it's your turn, [Y/N]. Don't mess this up.

"Yeah just go, 'hey! Sorry for the wait, but I like you, Genos. A lot. Marry me?'--AH WAHT? No no no [Y/N]! Chill it!"

I breathed then lifted my chin up again, eyes relaxed, pretending to be cool and chill, and sweg. Then turns out I was tippy toeing and set my feet down to laugh.

"Ahhh, ima fuck this up," I chuckle then just walked out of the room.

As I walked, I was mentally planning in my head. I pointed my fingers to the ground, I snapped them going into finger guns, I did whatever, going "hey, what's up? I just wanna say I like you" and "hey I like you. Date?" and even tried "how you doin? I like you. Bye."

I shook my head at the ground before my heart jumped startled from a "Hello, [Y/N]" from Genos. Right in front of me.

"Oh, hi!" I laugh, feeling myself sweat anxiously already.

Chill. Cool. Stay chill and cool, [Y/N]. Relaxxxxxx.

"What is..what is up?" I was awkwardly stretching my arms, my balance almost being thrown off.

He blinks and gives me a confused look before he ACTUALLY looks up and observed around him. "I suppose the sky and clouds," he replies casually.

I laugh and fangirl in my head as just him being so cute made it even harder for me to confess. I then chuckle out loud.

"You know, you're just so gosh darn cute," I chuckle.

"Is that so?" He smiles, his voice with hope.

I then look up at him, my smile fading to take a deep breath, but my lips kept curving into a wider smile uncontrollably.

"Genos," I said casually, my lips finally settled, "I have something I wanna let you know, and I've been thinking about it for...man ever since you stepped foot on Sensei's apartment. And I'm sorry it took so long..."

He has a small puppy grin that tells me that on the inside, he's excited to hear what I was about to say.

"Genos, I like you too," I confessed, "a whole lot."

He starts to smile bigger, and I keep adding things, "you're really cute and adorable, and a really really nice guy. Sorry it took so long, I was kinda nervous telling you."

He then chuckles happily. "[Y/N], I am glad you feel the same," he grabbed my hands, smiling so great even his front hair is a tad perked up from happiness.

I laugh too. "I'm just glad you like me," I say, "everyone always tell me they love me but that's because I'm a hero."

"And you did not run away," He says. "I was a coward and immediately left."

"What? Like you did? Nah, trust me, I'm so nervous and scared my feet are stuck to the ground," I corrected, and we laugh.

"Good thing you did not run. I did not want to wait again, so [Y/N]....would you like to go on a date as my girlfriend?"

GIRLFRIEND?!!!

My eyes shifted, and my mouth formed a huge smile just to hear those words. "YES! OF COURSE!" I nodded.

"Finally!" He laughs and pulled me into a mega bear hug, the two of us just laughing, and I smile into his chest and look up at him.

After we calmed down a little, he finally asks, "so I guess we are going on a date in your Hometown?" He smiles as we walk.

"What? I didn't plan to tell you here," I smile, pushing him with my shoulder playfully, "you started it. With all that 'I like you.' But a date in my Hometown is perfect."

"Like you," he shoved back.

"You mean you," I bumped back, and we laugh.

"We're perfect only together," he smirks and I "awww", blushing to the point I look like Sakura's wardrobe.

Hope this was an okay confession ahaha. My experience with telling guys that I like them is not so big of a deal because I'm just chillin it and being humble, but yeah I hope this is okay. Kinda short ik..
