"YO BROTHA!"

I recognize that voice anywhere, it's Brian Craigen. Brian's been my best friend since I could remember. We've been through think and thin, he always comes on tour with me. He's like my family on the road.

"Yooo" I yell from my bedroom of my Toronto apartment.

"You ready to get back on the road?"

"You know it. I think this is gonna be my best tour yet. I can feel it."

I pick up my phone and check the time. 10:42am. Our flight to London leaves at 11:15am.

"Brian we gotta go..."

"I'm ready."

I call the uber that should get here in about 5 minutes. We grab our bags and head to the lobby and wait for the uber driver to pull up.

-5 minutes later-

The uber has arrived and I grab our bags to put into the trunk as Brian tells the driver what airport we're going to.
I jump into the backseat of the car and immediately hear a loud gasp coming from the driver... here we go again.

"Oh my- No way! you're that Shawn Mendes kid, eh?"

"Yeah i'm that Shawn Mendes kid." I say with a fake and awkward laugh.

"Mind if we get a picture? My daughter is a huge fan."

"Yeah sure, no problem man."

We take the picture and get on our way.

"Yo man, how old is your daughter i'm trying to get my man here a girlfriend." Brian says as he nudges me with his elbow.

"I'm sure you'd be a great treat but she's actually engaged. Sorry man!"

The driver says as he makes a hard right.

"I'll tell you what though- never rush into love. Let it come to you, even if you're waiting long... let it come to you. Rushing and forcing love is being set up only to fail. When you meet the right girl, you'll know."

"Woah...thanks man. I didn't know i needed to hear that until now. Really, thank you!"

"Yeah man! Anytime."

We pull up the airport, grab our luggage, thank the driver one last time before heading into the airport.

11:01am

Just on time for our flight, thank god.
