**Arianna's POV**

"Shh, Shh," Sydney said placing a hand on my shoulder. "Do you hear that? Its calling our names."

"What?" I ask, a little more than slightly confused. Sydney's smile grew wide and she started laughing. "Are you high? Sydney! WHAT IS CALLING US? " I yell waving my handing in front of her face.

"The chocolate," she whispers. "The chocolate." she repeats, her voice a little shaky. Oh my gosh, my friends are insane, but I'm glad she decided to stay at our home for the night instead of staying the night at Harry's.

Sydney pops up and races to the kitchen going for the exact cupboard where all the sweets are held. I follow behind her, at a slower speed, obviously. She squeals with excitement as she tosses me an oreo cakester. I grab us some milk as she finds more sweets for us to devour. She even goes through the trouble of setting out plates for the two of us. Cutee.

I decide that if were going to be all hyper and jumpy from the sugar, we might as well have some music playing. I connect my ipod to its' iHome and turn the volume almost all the way up.  Cher Lloyd's "With Your Love' blares through the speaker, making Sydney jump and start dancing as she carried the plates to the island in the kitchen.  She took a seat on the bar stool next to me, still squirming rhythmically with the music.

I bob my head along with her as I start picking items off my plate.  I start to wave my hands in the air passionately.  Sydney and I sing along. Scratch that, more like screech along at the top of our lungs. Lucky me, my neighbors couldn't hear us. They probably would think someone was being murdered to the tunes of Cher Lloyd.

Mike Posner's part comes on and Sydney puts on her fake gangster look, including 'gangsta rap' hand motions, as I rap along. We both double over in laugher, only lasting long enough before the ending beats of the son come on and Sydney attempts doing the 'Egyptian' dance to the fading notes of the song. She's always loved that silly dance and I've always thought it was one weirdest looking dances ever.

I laugh at her silly antics as the song changes to a Maroon 5 mash-up. I get up and we both dance around the kitchen island and start to make our way to the living room. We dance around singing the alternating parts zealously to each other.

"I'm at a payphone trying to call home!" I sing to Sydney.

"Your phone." Sydney says, not sings to me. Its almost the end of the song, why would she stop singing now.

"What?" I say a little louder looking for clarification.

"Your phone is ringing!" she nearly shouts picking my phone up and tossing  it to me.

I stumble to catch the phone, fumbling for a second before I can look at the screen properly. It was an unsaved number. I check the time in the top right corner of the screen. It was a little past 9 PM. Should I even answer it? What could someone want this late anyways?

"Can you turn the music down? I want to see what whoever this is wants." I ask Sydney just before answering the call.

"Hello?" I venture.

"Hello, Ari?" the voice says. I recognize the voice almost immediately. I heard this voice only a couple of hours ago.

"Niall?" I utter in shock. How'd he get my number? Oh yea, during the phone switch I called my number from his phone.

"Yea, its me." He says.

"What's up?" I ask.

"Well, first, let me apologize for calling at such a late hour. I don't know if you were sleeping or anything,-" he starts but I cut him off with laughter. At this point, Sydney's curiosity in the conversation peaks.

"Trust me, I wasn't anywhere near sleeping." I reassure him. Sydney crosses her arms over her chest and raises an eyebrow. She whispers a question about the caller but I brush her off.

"Oh, okay good. But anyways, the reason I was calling was, I- I wanted to ask you something." He says. At this point, Sydney is holder her head as close the the telephone trying to listen to the other end of the conversation. I don't bother to move, she'll only get more recently.

"Oh, really?" I ask, buying me enough time to put the phone on speaker to ease Sydney's curiosity. "Well, ask and I'll awnser, Niall." Syndey's eyes grow wide at the sound of his name and she jumps up and down in anticipation. She must have remembered what I had said earlier today. My proposition.

He softly clears his throat. "Well, I was wondering if you would let me take you out to dinner?" he suggested. My jaw drops and I scoff in surprise  Sydney lets out a little squeal and she quickly covers her mouth with her hands.

"Um, y-yea." I stutter. I took a deep breath and close my eyes for a second. "Yes." I repeat more confidently.

"Great. Are you free tomorrow or the day after?" He pauses, waiting for an answer. Someone laughs in the background, and I could make out some cheering. Sydney hears it, too.

"Oh my gosh. That sounded almost exactly like Harry." Sydney reveals.

"No way!" I gasp, a little louder than I mean to.

"Pardon?" Niall inquires.

"Oh, sorry. I mean, No way, I can't go tomorrow. I have obligations already. But I am off the day after tomorrow." I yak, trying to save Sydney and I from explaining ourselves.

"Oh, then the day after works for you?"  he sounds a little uneasy.

"Yes, it does. Does it work with you?"

"Um, yea. Its just Liam and Louis fly back in on that day. I have to get them from the airport. But that is going to be earlier in the day. I'll get you around 8?"   he propses. The whole time he is speaking, I was jumping up and down and freaking out. I was trying making as little sound as possible.

I quickly stand still and nod my head, even though he can't see me. Sydney is smiling like an evil villan after thier scheme has gone all too well. "Wonderful. Sounds great." I agree.

"Alight then, I guess, I'll talk to later, then. Goodnight." He chirps, I could hear from his voice that he was smiling.

"Okay, Goodnight." I say almost stumbling over my words. "Wait, um. Where are we going?"

"Its a surprise. Don't worry about it." he teases.

"But-" I begin to protest but he cuts me off.

"Don't worry about it, babe. Its a surprise." He repeats.

I mentally fan-girl for a second. Calling me babe makes my heart flutter. Is just so adorable. I let out a sigh. "Okay, fine." I surrender "You win. Goodnight, Niall."

"Sweet dreams, Ari." he hums. I stare at the phone in my hand until the phone shows that the call has ended and I continue to stare until the screen fades to black. I hadn't look up but I could feel that Sydney was staring at me since Niall hung up.

I slowly raise my head and lock eyes with her. I was silent for a couple of seconds.

I bounce around, hysterical with laughter. "Niall Horan, from One fricken Direction, just asked me on a date!" I shout. "Me! On a date! With a boy!" I take a large breath between the words. "This is insane! this is crazy! Sydney! Do you understand what is going on? Not every girl can say that!"

I have to admit, I was a little more than excited. It was really flattering that someone who could have almost any girl in the world, wanted to go on a date with me. Not to mention he was absolutely adorable. Plus, I've been so busy with courses and volunteering, I haven't been on a proper date in the longest time.

Sydney laughs, "But, I thought you didn't like him." She has a tinge of sarcasm in her voice.

"I never said I did." I shrug with a wink.
