The bright sun shined over the capital of The Empire. A cool summer breeze blew through the trees, you could hear the leaves rustling in the background as the breeze hit them. Alongside The Great Canal laid a small town populated by a good one-hundred people. There was this dark alley within the small town which was known for a place where people would get mugged, killed, and much more. A scream of a young kid crept from the alley as it cried.

"Get up you little brat!" The 'leader' of the small group yelled, laughing at the kid on the ground, along with his two friends. He had pushed the kid to the floor as hard as he could without a care in the world and smirked. "Give me all of your money and we will let you go, brat!" He shouted at the kid. Lying on the ground, crying and screaming, the kid shook its head and refused. "I have no money!" It cried.

I was walking down the rough, rocky road when the screams of a little girl caught my attention. I noticed that the screams were coming from the alley and I ran over there as fast as i could. I could feel myself getting angry as I rushed over with the darkest thoughts running through my head, who knew what was happening to this little girl? As I reached the alley, I noticed how dark it was and I ran right down it only to see three kids my age surrounding a younger girl. They were all laughing hysterically, kicking her across the head. "C'mon you little shit, give it to us!" The obvious big dog said, kicking her once again. With the sight of this, I grew angrier and disgusted. I could not stand people like this. "HEY! JUST WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" I shouted as loud as I could, words unable explain how angry I was. "And who the hell are you?" He said, pulling up the right sleeve on his bright yellow shirt. I noticed the angry, distorted look on his face as he walked towards me. "Why the hell are you doing this?!" I screamed, balling my fist up and swinging at him, punching him in the jaw and causing him to fall back onto the floor. "Tch." One of his friends said as him and the other ran towards me, one punching me in the face and the other my stomach.

"You fucking punk!" The 'leader' of the small group shouted as he stood up and walked towards me. He balled his fist up and cocked back his arm, swinging at me with all of his force as I sat against a concrete wall on the ground. Just before his fist hit me, I moved my head out of the way, causing him to hit the wall. I looked at his fist and it was obvious he broke a few knuckles and I laughed. "AGHHHHH!!!!" He yelped in pain as I got back up onto my feet and spit in his face before grabbing his arm and pulling him over my body. "GRAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I let out a roar, slamming him onto the concrete ground as hard as I could. Once he hit the ground, he was instantly knocked out by the impact. "W-who are you?!?" His friends shouted in fear and looked at me. I could tell how scared they were, it seemed no one was ever able to stand up to them like this. Their bodies quivered in fear as I began speaking, "My name's Ikari! I'm giving you two 10 seconds to get out of here, or you're next!" I shouted at them as they both ran away. After they were gone, I sighed and looked at the girl on the ground. She was still crying. I leaned down and reached my hand out to her, wanting to help her get up. "You're safe now, don't worry." I said with a smile on my face, my temper had gone down and I felt calm again. She was clearly still a bit scared, yet she still grabbed my hand. She stood up and I wiped her tears away from her eyes. "Where do you live missy?" I asked her. "I-I live across town..." She shyly replied, sniffling. "Well, why don't we get you there then?" I told her, smiling and picked her up, putting her onto my back.

An hour past and the sun began setting. That cool summer breeze still blowing through the air, the sky was a bright orange due to the setting sun and Ikari finally reached the girls house.

"Thank you, nii-san!!!" She happily shouted with a smile on her face, running into her house. I waved back at her, also smiling as I began walking away. While walking, I looked up at the sky and sighed. "Now that that's over with...I guess I'll stop by my favorite spot at the canal." I thought to myself and began heading there. After a good 10 minutes, I reached a cliff hanging over The Great Canal. I sat down on the soft grass at the edge of the cliff and began watching the ships sail by. For some reason, doing this always calmed my mind, it was super relaxing. Another hour past and the sun completely set. I noticed that there were storm clouds approaching, I figured they were just rain clouds since we always got rain. I didn't want my clothes getting wet so I stood up and began heading home. My house wasn't far from here, so I could definitely beat the storm. I got to my house just in time and walked inside. "I'm home!" I said ironically, knowing that I lived alone. I don't have a family.

The sound of the fire place crept through my small house as food cooked over it. Every few minutes, I stirred it so my soup would come out nice and thick. As I went to stir it again, I heard a loud distant bang, it sounded like it was coming from the canal. "What the hell was that..?" I said, confused. Just after that, a bang on my roof was made and I shot up off the floor. "NOW WHAT WAS THAT?" I shouted and rush to my front door, swinging it open, only to see bandits from one of the surrounding countries along with a female wearing clothes that belonged to The Empire's military. She was chasing them, but for some reason they stopped in front of my house and surrounded the girl. They all held swords towards her and I sighed. "Again? Twice in one day?!" I said to myself and ran out the door, quickly getting soaked because it was still storming. I ran up behind one of the enemy bandits and swiftly broke his neck. His body fell to the floor and I grabbed his sword as fast as I could. "Hmph! It looks like the techniques that old man taught me are actually paying off!" I thought to myself. Right after grabbing the sword, I gripped it firmly and charged at the next enemy and swung the sword at him, only to be parried. Once he parried me, he kicked me backwards and the rest of the bandits charged at me with their swords. Just before the swords reached my body, they all suddenly stopped in their place. Blood from each of their necks splattered out and they all fell to the floor. Once their bodies hit the ground, I could see the girl standing behind them. She had silky brown hair with bright blue eyes, she was kind of pretty, I thought to myself. She started walking towards me and reached her hand out. "Nice to meet yo-" She said then suddenly stopped as an arrow pierced her neck. I was shocked and confused, then noticed an enemy archer in the trees. Anger filled my veins and I screamed. For some reason, I was filled with rage by what just happened and I began running at the archer, dodging each of his arrows that he fired. As soon as I reached the archer, I impaled his heart with the sword of his own comrade and then kicked his dead body to the floor, releasing the sword from his body. I thought that was the last of them until heard screams of more bandits coming out of the forest. From here, my body began acting on its own as I fought the rest of them, slaying each one. Once killing them all, I fell to the floor as well and passed out.

I woke up a few minutes later to the sound of multiple voices around me. I leaned up and grabbed my head from the sudden pain within it. "Gah!" I groaned from the pain. I then noticed that the voices were The Empire's military men. They were searching each of the bodies for survivors, but it was clear that none were alive. "So, you're alive, huh?" One of the military men asked me as he walked over. "S-so it seems..." I said, still rubbing the back of my head because of the pain. He reached down and helped me get back onto my feet. Once I stood up, I noticed the body of that girl from The Empire was in a body bag. Not only that, but I noticed the dead bodies of the enemy bandits. It was a blood bath. I felt sick to my stomach and almost fell once again, but the man caught me. "What exactly happened here?" He asked me and realized that my body was also covered in slashes from the enemy. "W-well... it's a long story." I replied. "Tell me everything, I want to know ALL of the details." He demanded. I felt my head spinning, as i struggled to speak. To be continued...
