"What I've done to you?"
This is ridiculous. This man, which I hardly know, is accusing me of things that I haven't done! I've just woken up in a hospital for God's sakes!
"What have I done to you? I don't even know you!" I say incredulously.

"Lauren-"

"No! You listen! I've just woken up from what? A crash? I have people telling me I'm their wife. On top of that, I have two children calling me mommy! How can I not remember this? And why does everyone have an English accent-"
"Lauren listen to me," Alex stresses.
Alex starts pacing the room, massaging his temples.
" I've seen you lie before," he starts, " but nothing like this before."
His voice sounds like he carries the weight of the whole world. It kind of make a me feel bad for him.
"You're-" He starts, and stops. "Forget it, I'm talking to the nurse," Alex says, gathering his suit jacket, "We're going home, I don't care what the doctor says."
I watch as Alex marches out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I don't think I've ever been this confused. Wait- maybe I have, the amnesia might've taken that too.

"Mr. Alessio, please, you're being too rough," The nurse pleads with Alex.
Alex just ignores the nurse, angrily opening up the wheelchair. I'm pretty sure if that thing doesn't open, he'll just break it. Although, I'm sure he won't care either. His hands are pure white from how hard he's gripping the handles. Nevertheless,  he surprisingly succeeds in opening it. He then turns to me, breathing heavily with his hair hanging over his eyes, "Your turn,"

"Wha-"
Alex, without permission, cradles me and lifts me onto the wheelchair. Does this guy ever give warnings?
My heart skips a beat as we're in close proximity, nose to nose.
Geez get a grip! He's just a guy. Well, a hot one.
We wheel towards the exit of the hospital with the nurse.

"We've got it from here, thanks,"Alex says, helping me out of the chair.
"Okay, you guys have ever thing you need. Have a wonderful day," The kind woman says.

"Right, thank you," Alex says, before walking us to his car. Mercedes might I add

Who is this guy?

The ride home was pretty tense. I could just barely hear Alex's teeth gritting.

"You don't have to be a jerk to me."

"I'm not being a jerk."

"Yes you are! Have you been listening to yourself lately? You've been nothing but unkind to me ever since I've woken up!"

Alex smirks mockingly, "Yeah? Try being married to you for 7 years."

I have no idea what kind of person I was, but I know I would never marry someone who treated me like a bug on a shoe. Regardless the car goes silent again. I have nothing else to say to him.

"We're here."

We pulled into a driveway with a big yard, and a huge house.
"This-this is your house?" I stammer. This whole place has to be at least 11 acres!

"Our house,"

"Mummy's home!" Emmy says running towards me, Graham right behind her.

" Emmy, darling, I'm going to say this as nicely as I can. The next time you run away from Uncle Grammy, I'm putting monsters under your bed," Graham says, catching his breathe as Emmy hugs me.
I look straight at Graham,"That is so cruel of you. How could you say that to a child?"
Graham raises a brow at me, then turns to Alex " Is she acting like she hasn't worse things to he kids?"

Alex looks at me and clears his throat, "Emmy, go help Mummy inside."
"Okay!" Emmy exclaims excitedly, running towards the mansion.
How much energy does this girl have.

"So, how long does she plan on playing that American accent act?" I faintly hear Graham say.
