the rumor spreads fast, and it has jaebum's blood boiling. he has no right to be jealous. seulgi can do as she pleases.... it's just complicated.

seulgi has a lot of idol friends, and she frequently goes to their concerts and showcases to support them. jaebum knew about taemin's concert, because seulgi and taemin went to high school together, and she mentioned it briefly sometime in new york. they're good friends, she and taemin. yet... she took jongin as her date, and its stirring up a lot of buzz.

it wasn't a big deal to jaebum at first, he didn't think much of it at all... until jennie brought it up during their shoot together. she claimed she dated jongin for a short bit of time, and knew he had a good relationship with seulgi, and she apparently always had a hunch that maybe he had a crush on her. it's not what jaebum wanted to hear, and it's plaguing his mind ever since.

during the entire flight to paris, all he could think about is how to talk to seulgi about it. if she's likes or is dating jongin, then their casual sex relationships is over... and if that relationship is over, jaebum's not sure how he'll be able to move on from it.

their relationship is more than just sex. there's dates, late night cuddling, kisses that leave him weak. there's sadness when the other person isn't around, immense joy when they are. it's bordering on love, and jaebum's not selfish enough to continue pursuing it if her interest lies with someone else. 

despite all of this, it doesn't stop his heart from singing when he sees her. they're staying in the same hotel, because chanel is paying for it and it's not too far from the location where the store will be opening tomorrow. she comes over to his room, a present in hand, and jaebum asks her who it's for. "you of course! i got you something in toronto."

"one of those touristy shirts that says i <3 canada or something?"

"no... better. something useful." seulgi giggles, sitting down on the edge of his bed as he digs through the bag. "a new lense for your camera."

"no way! seul, you didn't have to do that." jaebum smiles, handing over the bag and running to his luggage where his camera is packed away. he grabs the device, and takes a seat next to her. it doesn't take long to hook up the new lense, and he plays with the settings briefly before snapping a few photos. "it's great, i don't have this lense, thank you so much."

"i'm glad you like it." seulgi smiles, leaning forward and pressing a kiss against his cheek.

jaebum's reminded of his earlier crisis...and he should probably tell her now, while he has the chance, "hey, can we talk about something?"

"sure."

"rumor's going around seoul...that you're dating jongin."

"is that so?" seulgi too quiet for his liking, and jaebum's temper is flaring again. "does that bother you?"

"yeah, it does."

"are you jealous?"

"maybe, i am... but if you're dating someone seulgi... we...can't do this."

"that's rich coming from you..."

"what?"

"your shoot with jennie...quite intimate in my opinion. are you sleeping with her too?"
