Christopher is in the MM...
Everybody was chilling at my Aunt Judy's house on Indiana when my cousin suggested that we go to the night services held at church and I agreed to go with her later on that night.
We were outside listening to music, playing games (tennis, badminton, volleyball, tag (kids), cards, dominos, etc.) while my Uncle William and older male cousins who I consider more like Uncles Ron and Jamie were taking turns on the grill and arguing, as usual, I love my family they are soo comical.
After the food was done everybody gathered around to bless the food after washing our hands and my Cousin/Uncle Ron was saying the prayer.
I kid you not every other word was "You know what I'm saying" which caused a chuckle from everyone, then somebody said "Ron, he knows whatchu saying" he smiled and we said amen. Dropped our hands and started serving the food, of course, it went kids first, elders, and then everybody else.
Once I finished my food I was listening to my family as they sat around talking and laughing, I walked outside watching the kids run around the yard basically running their food off, I chuckled thinking their crazy selves gonna be hungry again after they settle down.
That was until someone from inside the house announced that there was cake and ice cream, the kids zoomed by me so quickly jumping up and down saying "yeah, cake and ice cream, cake, and ice cream!!"
I said, "Hold up, let me and Velz get ours we about to bounce," can you imagine the looks on the kid's face when I said that, we cracked up.
Arriving at the church, we get seated and services begin. After an hour and thirty minutes, services were over, and to say the least, it was a beautiful service.
In between the services, I had gotten up to use the restroom and as I was finishing up and heading to wash my hands, I passed this woman who was also washing her hands. We spoke briefly as I washed my hands and headed back out to find my cousin and chat with some of the church members before heading back home.
As I was walking out I noticed that the lady walked out right behind me and I heard her mumble to herself "Damn that ass, I want her."
I kept walking like I didn't just hear her say that with a confused look on my face, as I looked around for my cousin, I kept seeing that lady from the restroom everywhere I turned and she would be staring then look away when I made eye contact.
"I'm like oh lord let me hurry up and find my cousin so we can bounce, I'm getting freaked out by this chick." I found my cousin and we left quickly.
The next day I went outside to get the mail, and as I was staring at this truck a guy walks by we made eye contact, (I mean just staring each other down) I looked away for less than a minute and looked back his way and we locked eyes again.
I smiled and so did he and can I just say I melted right then and there, as I walked back into the house he said, "Umm, Do you want my number?"
I stopped mid-step and said, "yeah, let me go get my phone." I ran into the house mad fast, almost tripping over the air (lol).
The whole time I'm pacing around the house saying, "He won't be there when I walk back out, he won't be there when I get back," as I grabbed my phone quickly from off my desk and jogged back to the door, to my surprise he was still there.
I let go of a breath I wasn't even aware that I was holding and opened the screen door when he noticed that I'd returned he smiled big showing his pretty white teeth and I thought " Oh lord if he keeps this up I'm a faint.
We exchanged phones putting our information into each other's phones. Under my contact, I put "Teen".
He saved his name as "Chris", I looked up and he was smiling and he said, "Teen" huh? I said yeah and you "Chris" huh?
He said yep popping the p. We laughed for a minute then he said alright, "Well I hope to hear from you soon,". Winked and started walking down the street.
Throughout the week he and I were texting during the day and talking for hours every night.
I found out that his full name was Christopher Isaiah Wright, he's 25, he's 6'1, he has hazel eyes, brown/light brown natural curly hair and light skin, he's in college for engineering, he's the only child of his parents.
His parents are Mr. DeWayne Wright who was a very well-known lawyer who unexpectedly died 2 years ago from a heart attack at age 54, his mother Mrs. DeAnna Wright who is also well-known for her practices in women's health is 54 as well.
He told me about how it has been a hard 2 years for him and his mom, and how he is almost finished with school, he has one year left.
He told me about his mother being a little under the weather recently and how he's trying to get her to go get checked out but she keeps insisting that she's fine, nothing to fuss over it's just a little cold.
He told me how much he loves his mother and how he's overprotective of her, which made me smile knowing that he's caring.
He told me that he has his own place, which has 2 bedrooms 1 ½ bath, a finished basement, a big backyard, and a 2 car garage, he owns a 2012 custom painted burnt orange Explorer.
I told him that my full name is Christeena I'Yana West, I'm 25 as well, I'm 5'6, I have light brown eyes multi-colored hair naturally curly but I usually wear it bone straight and I am light skin as well and I'm in college for Computer Graphics, I'm the only child of my parents as well.
Although he had the privilege of knowing his father I did not, he died when I was 6 months old at the age of 30, all I know of him is that his name was Henry West, that he worked as a paralegal and was well-loved, I'd seen pictures of my father but that could never replace actually knowing him growing up. My mother is Mrs. Georgia West and she's a Doctor at St. Joseph's Hospital, she's 55.
I told him that I often think about what my life would be if he hadn't died, I told him that I had one year left as well before I finished school, I told him about how my mother is overprotective of me and vice versa, that I'm so protective of her that she calls me mama. I told him that I have my own place which he knows where it is, that it has 2 bedrooms, a bonus room, 1 ½ baths, nice yard, basement, a 2 car garage, I own a blue 2012 Santa Fe.
