The heavy feeling didn't fade away. It only became heavier. I was unsure of what it was but a part of me knew something was off, that something bad was going to happen.
As we walked into the living room we see nothing, everything empty.
We grow curious as to what happened to the house or what is the history behind the house, but knowing this is a ghost town nothing good was behind any of the houses. Specially not this one.The minute we all roam around the house the door closes shut. We try to open it yet we are unable to. We are stuck inside without knowing of another way out. To complicate the situation even more I started to see the walls move closer. The walls were slowly shrinking the room. I started to freak out. The thought of being squished inside a room terrified me.
"Do you guys see what I see" I ask.
"The water filling up the room?" Scott answered.
"Wait what, that's not what o meant." I respond. I was so confused. Were we seeing different things.
"Lydia what do you see?" I ask trying to clarify what the situation was.
"Nothing, we are locked in this room and we can't find a way out." She responds.
"Guys I think this room is making Scott and I hallucinate some of our greatest fears. I just wonder why you're not affected by it, Lydia."
"What are you seeing, Malia?" Scott asked me.
"The walls are closing in." I answer.
"We need to get out of here as soon as possible. We don't know what exactly is causing this, but we do know that we need to get out of here." Scott affirms.
The three of us nod as we start looking for a way out.
I look around the room and find nothing but trash. I saw the walls closing in and felt them, but I knew it wasn't real yet I couldn't shake the feeling that the closing walls were real. Lydia and Scott look around the other parts of the room and seem to find nothing as well.Scott seems exhausted and desperate as he finds piles of garbage. I tried opening the door once more but nothing, the door wouldn't even budge.
Scott lays down defeated and Lydia and I just stood in silence.
I didn't dare to even look her way. I just looked down.I get tired of standing soon enough. So I sit in the middle of the room and Lydia follows me. We just sit and look at each other. Her eyes reflected tiredness. We were all very tired of being stuck in a room. All I wonder while I sat next to her was what was she thinking of. I knew she must have been thinking of something smart or thoughtful as she is the smartest person I know.
Even though we weren't really talking at the moment, I couldn't help but think only of her. Having her so close made it easier to do so. I had to get her out of here. I have a surge of energy which I use to try to open the door open. I punch it and kick it. Nothing seems to open it. So with the last ounce of energy left in my I take my whole body and I throw my self towards the door. The door finally goes down.
Scott and Lydia leave the room in which we were locked in.
"How did you open the door?" Scott asks with excitement.
"To be honest I'm not sure. I was tired of being in there." I say.Lydia doesn't say much. Her silence was persistent. We looked everywhere to see who locked us in the room and found nothing. So we left the town, especially after the incident I never wanted to come back.
