i. It was the sea

My heart is rapidly falling into a black abyss. You told me to dive and go along with what love offers us both but I just found out it was actually shallow. I hurt my feet from the strong impact- my body has been stricken by the crashing waves and it made me numb. I tried hard to swim until I reach the shore yet the water drowned me. Losing you and losing myself in the process made me feel blue. Just like how the sun kisses the sea good night you told me your farewell. We parted ways near the ocean, the place I once thought was serene yet it did not calm my disturbed soul now.
