Arthur

It would be how to talk to a lady. You wouldn't actually know he was trying to get the confidence to talk to you, but no matter, you still attempted trying.

And when he made up god awful pick up lines, only to use them on you, you threatened him with no more teaching.

“No! No, Y/N, please. I know that was terrible.”

You'd give him one shy smile, and continue helping him, no matter what the words were. You were head over heels, but it took a few more pick up lines to realise.

Dutch

It would be something really strange, like how to sew. He'd be so entranced by the slow movements of your nimble fingers, he'd immediately be desperate to learn.

“You mustn't say a word, Y/N. Not a word.”

He'd be secretive, too, but proud once he learnt. You'd have to keep your eye out for little sewing patterns about your sleeping area, on scraps of fabric. He'd be so grateful.

Javier

He'd want to learn how to truly care for a horse. He knew the basics, but he never knew how all the horses in camp adored you.

Hell, he even saw one sitting by you in the grass once, it's head in your lap.

He wanted that. So he begged and you showed him where to pet them, what to feed them, and how to keep them in top condition.

“Now I'm their favourite. Right?”

He'd be optimistic and determined to better you, although it never happened.

Charles

When the camp was quiet, he'd slowly approach you, and then whisper.

“Can you braid my hair?”

You couldn't help but laugh, but it was a fun task. Just outside of camp, behind some trees, you sat above him, weaving his raven hair with careful fingers, into little twisted plaits. He'd tuck them away behind his ears to keep the hair out of his face.

The camp would slowly start to notice, and then notice the little flowers appearing on your bedside, and then piece it together. But they wouldn't say a word. After all, the braids looked nice.

Sean

He'd ask you how to read. Being a young Irish immigrant, he didn't have time to read, or to learn. He was determined to find out, though, as it was one of your favourite things to do, too.

“Teach me, and I'll buy you a bottle of whiskey.”

You never accepted his gifts back to you, out of just selflessness at teaching him. It was a gift to write him dirty little notes and see his cheeks flush.

Lenny

He was an... Inexperienced boi.

He'd ask you very quietly how to kiss and please a lady. He knew you knew, he knew everyone else knew, but he wanted to know. Young at nineteen, he'd never taken a lover.

You were determined to not let it get that far, but within days, it escalated.

“My lord... So that's what it feels like. Incredible, Y/N.”

Little cheeky compliments here and there, secret kisses, and his insistence that it was just practise. You knew he was lying. And you were lying to yourself.

So you just kept going.
