Getting the job

The next day I had an interview that Woods got me at hi5 studios. He got me an interview with the CEO of the company Matthias. I didn't want to screw this up but Woods told me there this was one of the most relaxed environments but you can't blame a girl for stressing. They left the apartment to go get lunch and I got ready for my interview. I got dressed in plaid with jeans and boots. "Julia!!!" I heard Tanner call. I had only been living with the guys for two days but Tanner and I were already really close. We just clicked. "Tanman stop being such a drama queen!" I walked out and he looked me over. "What?" I said looking myself over. "Nothing you just now look a lot more like Woods." I punched his arm and he laughed while we walked out to his truck. Tanner was being nice enough to wait for me so I could grab a ride in. I didn't have my own car or place yet, but I was planning on getting there. After college I really just needed a fresh start. New state, new place! I was determined to make my life here better and being with Woods was already doing that. We pulled up to this large building and Tanner showed me inside. Everything was orange but it was definitely modern looking. Tanner basically escorted me to the CEOs office. He knocked on the door, "Hey Matt the new girl is here." Matthias hung up the phone and Tanner closed the door behind me. "Please have a seat." I sat down. "First of all I just wanted to thank you for just the opportunity to be able to apply for a job here and I would like to ask to be judged as an individual not as Woods sister." I said not realizing how nervous I was. "Ok I can respect that. So Miss DeMars what sort of skills do you have that could add to this company?" He asked me and I thought for a second. "I'm a gamer girl. I've beta tested almost all Bethesda games that came out and all black ops and call of duty games. I've also played pubg and fortnight as well as gta. I think having a gamer girl could add to the business because there is a whole group of people out there of gamer girls that won't watch some channels because the only people playing are guys, yet the second a gamer girl makes a channel all of us come out of the wood works in support. I think I could bring a new, young, fresh crowd to hi5 studios and maybe even inspire some girls to show them that they can make and be apart of videos like these just as much as guys can." I looked at him and I realized I said that all really quickly. "Can you edit and record?" "Yes sir." He cringed a little. "Please everyone around here calls me Matt." "Sorry Matt." "So what's your story why did you move all the way out here?" I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry if this is the reason that I don't get the job Matt but it's really personal and I just wanted a fresh start." He looked at me with a softer look. He sat there for a minute and got on his computer. "You already have a YouTube channel that has 5,000 subs. That's pretty good, but working here will help you work on group projects and help you grow into the family. So Julia congratulations! You got the job!" He stood up and shook my hand. "Thank you Matt I promise you won't regret it!" I let go of his hand. "Well let me show you where our spare office is. It's in the same room as Sam and Rose so you can work with them." He showed me around for a bit, but no one was really there. He showed me the office where the two girls where. I met them and they both seemed super sweet. I was so excited I got the job there was the very first thing I had to do. I called my brother and waited for him to answer. "Hello?" "Woods i got the job!" "Really? That's amazing congratulations! Welcome to the hi5 family!" "I'm so excited! There really isn't anyone here so I'm going to head back to the apartment and look for an apartment." "Actually I'll have to talk with you about that later okay?" "Okay. I guess I'll see you at home them." I hung up and looked around one last time before Tanner and I headed home.   "Congrats on the job mouse!" I punched his arm again. "If I get a bruise I'm pressing charges!" He said laughing and I just laughed. "Poor tanner can't take hits from a girl." "Cause I can't hit back!" "Damn straight!" We just laughed and enjoyed each other's company the whole ride home. We got back to the apartment and when we opened the door I saw streamers and a congrats banner and Gunner was popping confetti. "CONGRATULATIONS!!" Gunner, Tanner, and Woods yelled. I stood there shocked as they all hugged me. Woods held a key out in front of me. "What?" I said looking at all of their smiling faces. "I'm moving back in with my mom and the boys didn't want to loose the cheap rent they were paying so you can stay here." Wood said. "No. No I can't do that to you guys." I said pushing the key away. "I insist." Woods said. "Well too bad because I have a key for you." I hand Woods a key and he looks at me confused. "I got a three bedroom, three bathroom house. I figured you and I could stay together." He looks at me with tears in his eyes as he wraps me in a hug taking the key. "Is that a yes?" I say as I hug him. "Hell yes!"
