First day on the job

I woke up early the next morning to the smell of food as I got dressed and made my way downstairs to the kitchen. I heard voices and I looked around the corner seeing Tanner and Gunner sitting in the kitchen while Woods was I guess trying to make breakfast. "So you mean to tell me I can't have any peaceful sleep without dummy 1 and dummy 2 coming over?" They turned and Gunner smiled and Tanner came running over to hug me as he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "Julia!!!" "Tanner put me down!!" Tanner listener and put me on one of the bar stools as Woods handed me a plate of food and some coffee. "Coffee with créame and six sugars." "How did you know how I liked my coffee?" "I uh didn't it's just how I like my coffee." I sipped the coffee and ate breakfast while Gunner sat next to me quietly. I turned to look at him. "You're awfully quiet for the morning." "I...uh...yeah." He said and I just kind of laughed to myself as Tanner jumped on the other stool next to me. "So you bought this house? It's amazing and we've only seen the kitchen!" Tanner said. "Yeah its a nice place. So Woods you going with Tanner?" "Yeah were gonna have our later tonight if that's cool." "Yeah that's fine. Gunner I can give you a ride in to work if you need." "Yeah that'd be great thanks." I finished eating and cleaned up after myself as I grabbed the keys to my car and Gunner and I headed out to the garage. I uncovered my car and started it up as Gunner and I got in. "She's beautiful." Gunner said looking at the car. "It's a he and his name is Zero." I started the car and listened to him purr to life as I revved the engine and hit garage door opener. The door opened and I slowly pulled into the driveway before closing the garage behind me. I reverted my engine and looked over at Gunner who held onto the oh shit handle as I looked over at Tanner. "After you." I yelled to Tanner through the passenger seat window. "No thanks my truck is an old girl and I wouldn't want to hurt her. See y'all at work." He rolls up his window as I pull out of the driveway and take off down the road. I follow the GPS and place some rap music which makes my subs sound good. I drive off to work and look over at Gunner who seems quiet. I slow down and turn the radio down. "You okay you've been quiet all morning." "Yeah I'm fine I'm just much more of a quiet morning person." I kept my eyes on the road. "Sorry I'll keep it down I just hate silence it makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable." "No yeah I get it. I really appreciate you driving me to work." "Yeah it's no problem." "Do you know what you will be working on today?" "I think I'm just supposed to get a tour from some girl named Ashely." "That's it?" "Yeah and then I'm supposed to do some of my own self editing." "Okay do maybe if you aren't busy we'll grab lunch?" "Yeah sure." We pulled up in front of a warehouse building and Tanner and Woods parked right next to us. We all got out and I locked my car and stood close to Woods. When we walked in I looked around and noticed the whole place was blue. I turned to my left and saw a smiling girl sitting at a desk. I followed Woods as we clocked out. He showed me to my office and knocked on the door. "Come in!" Said a voice from inside. Woods opened the door and I stepped in. "Julia this is CJ. You're new office buddy. CJ this is Julia the new girl." CJ stood up and held out his hand. "Welcome to the only quiet office in any of the three warehouses." I shook his hand. "This desk is yours." He said pointing to the desk with the computer on it on the left side of the room. "Do you mind working in the dark?" "Not at all it's how I do most of my editing." "Then I think we will get along great!" He said as he sat back down. "CJ is also the channel manager of Battle Universe which is recorded here in blue base." "Yeah has anyone laid claim to you yet?" I looked at woods confused. "I'm sorry what?" "Whenever there is a new talent there is always a rush to have them in their videos. Especially...well when they are pretty like you." CJ said blushing. "Thanks I think..." There was an awkward pause colores by silence. "Alright well I'll let you get to work and I'll text Ashley and let her know you're here." He kisses my head and walks off closing the door behind him. I turn around and CJ just smiles kindly. I walk over to my desk and sit down not exactly sure where to start. "So has anyone claimed you?" I pulled up my schedule. "I don't think it's about claiming. I have a schedule of when I am supposed to record with what channels on what days." "So when are you going to be with Battle Universe." I scroll through my schedule. "Looks like I'm in the Wednesday shoots for Battle Universe." I said. "Then Friday I just do editing wether it be for a channel here or my other three channels at hone." "You have three channels?" "Yeah my first one is called Fresh Food Friday, my second one is Special Guest Saturday, and my last one is Stress relief sleepy Sunday." I could tell he wanted to ask about my channels, but he was interrupted by a knock on the door. A burnett woman poked her head in smiling. "Sorry to interrupt CJ, but I'm here for Julia?" She said looking at me. I stood up and shook her hand. "Yeah that's me." "I'm Ashley. It's nice to meet you!" "You too." "Well if you'll follow me around I'll try and show you around so you don't get lost and also introduce you to your coworkers." I nodded and followed her out and around as she introduced me and I tried to remember names but it was hard to keep up with names and directions. After a while I just gave up and continued the tour. She showed me around blue base, then took me across the road to orange base, and we ended with red base. When we got up to tanner's office in blue base Tanner came over and hugged me with a big smile on his face, "I am so glad you are working here. Hey do you mind if Gunner and I come over again tonight? We saw the office and we were wondering...." "Actually if ya'll come over would you mind being on my personal channel we can play some video games." "That's what I was hoping you'd say." "Alright well I'm headed back to red base. If you need anything just ask someone and I'm sure they'll tell you." Ashely said before walking off. I headed back down to my office and continued to do some work. It was Friday and I finally was able to have guests on my channel now that Gunner and Tanner were coming over for dinner and video games. I worked for hours before it was time to go home. It wasn't a bad day at work it's just there were a lot of names to remember. I pulled into the driveway and sat there for a minute. "You okay?" Gunner said pulling me from my thoughts. "Huh? yeah i'm fine sorry I was just thinking. I'll be in a minute." "Okay." Gunner got out and I sat there. Well time to get to work!
