I try to reach out for you,
But you're far away in the dark.
The beauty in your eyes is true,
Your smile could ignites a spark.
You're a magnificent bird,
But a bird must fly free.
You'll choose your own path,
A path traveled without me.
I tried my best and failed,
Words alone are truly weak.
Through seas of torment I have sailed,
Knowing I cannot get what I seek.
You're a free bird now
I'm caged behind bars.
I hope you'll be happy,
While I aim for the stars.
You may have done no harm,
But in a way u did deeply hurt me.
I've surrendered to your charm,
you're a reflection that I can't see.
