We once swore an oak,
That we'd follow and serve.
That we'd treat everyone
the way they deserve.
That we'd light our fire
And feel the warm sting,
building hope and desire
as the flame starts to sing.
That we'd hope for the best,
and aim for the stars.
That we'd overcome the rest,
And befriend all scars.
That we'd always give
and barely recieve.
That we'd always help
and never deceive.
We make homes out of forests,
We make roofs out of skies.
We overcome all obstacles
With a spirit that never dies.
Our leaders forged us,
And prepared us to fight.
They built our wings,
And made us take flight.
Lost in my recalls
I can finally realise
that I saw my family
right before my eyes.
