The Truth behind the Feminist Movement

By Michael Parker

23 Oktober 1971

In the light of recent protests on the streets of London, this article aims to clarify the obscure background of the instigators of these riots; the feminists. They attempt to draw attention to the subordinate position of women in society, appealing to gender-based discrimination and oppression. They are quick to judge the 'exclusive society', but what they lack is concrete evidence. Their viewpoints are hardly ever statistically supported. The studies and numbers they use to support their ideology are generally not fact-based, and questionable to say the least. God knowing that most peer-reviewed research points in the opposite direction of their claims, this was to be expected.

One prominent example is the statement they uttered recently, during a protest in the United States; '25 percent of US women will be raped in their lives'. Without indisputable empirical evidence, this seems to be a bold and highly exaggerated proclamation. Another belief is that men and women have little biological differences, if any. This idea is easily refuted by referring to innumerable previous studies of renowned scientists, who have devoted their lives to investigating precisely these biological characteristics that separate the female sex from the male sex.

There is one final - but important - aspect that needs to be discussed. Although these groups claim to fight for equality for all women, the main focus remains on the white and privileged members. Minority groups, such as black women or the LGBTQ community. For this article, I spoke with Tracy Adams [Ed.: to guarantee the anonymity of our sources, we have chosen to use an alias]. As an Afro-American woman of colour, she feels underrepresented and ignored by this women's movement. She further claims that "white women still hold the superior position within this hierarchy that is no less present in the feminist movement than in everyday life". This raises the question of how devoted these women truly are to their own goals. If they strive to attain equal rights, should they not be more inclusive?

It is hard to ignore these loud attention-seekers, but perhaps that is exactly what should be done. If we want to avoid further upheaval we'd do good to disregard all feminist ideologies, and remind them to not lose sight of reality. Men and women are not inherently equal, nor do they possess the same abilities. A case in point would be the inequality in the workplace. Women should be able to work and pay for their own expenses, absolutely. However, that does not mean that they are qualified for the exact same jobs as men. We would do well to remember these innate biological differences.
