Chapter Eight

Grace

I woke up in a comfortable bed with with a really soft mattress and I felt a bit disoriented at first. That's when I noticed the strong muscled arms wrapped around me protectively like a cocoon. My back's pressed against a warm and toned body. Everything came rushing back to me. Memories awhile ago almost overwhelmed me. I carefully tried to pry away my mate's arms from me based on his smell and the sparks and tingles but in vain. Keyword: tried.
"Baby, where are you going? What's wrong, love?"
"I really need to pee. Please?"
He hugged me then kissed my hair before reluctantly letting me go.
"It's over there." He pointed at the door that I believe leads to the bathroom.
"Alright. Thanks." I smiled.
He smiled back then placed another kiss on my temple before closing his eyes.
I immediately took care of my business and then went out of his bathroom that's way, way bigger than my whole room back home.
He opened his eyes when he heard its door shut.
"Come here, babe. Let me cuddle you."
Who am I to say no, right?
As soon as I'm near him, he pulled me then enveloped me in his arms again.
"I know you already know me and I also know some things about you, too. But I want us to know each other better. I like the two of us to know each other best," he gently said.
He never fails to surprise me. He's far from what I've ever known and imagined but he's everything and so much more of what and who that anyone could ever ask for and would ever dreamed of.
"You're right. Let's play twenty questions then?"
"Yes, we should. Let's do it. Ladies first."
And so played twenty and more questions until it's time for dinner.
He's really full of surprises. I love it. I love him. Every bit of him. I'm in love and I wouldn't change it for the world.

After our sumptuous meal which we enjoyed in his room since he said he doesn't want me moving around too much for now (even if I kept on telling him I'm okay but he's not convinced), a maid came with a few clothes and sets of undies. The maid left as soon as she's done with her task as per her Alpha's order. My mate assured me that the clothes and the undies are all new. He sent someone to bought these for me.
"We're going to shop for more tomorrow. I'll give you everything."
"Babe, I---"
"I'll give you the world. You deserve it and more. That's final."
"Okay. Thank you."
"Anything and everything for you."
We stared and smiled at each other. He embraced me and kissed my forehead.
