Riya Anurag. The girl who was in all crowds of any ceremony at school.

I was not the best in everything but I was good in so many things.

I involved myself in every activities during her final year at highschool. Being the senior student I was leading the choir group for the first time that day. This has never happened. I had never had the guts to face the people individually. I think its time to grow out of my box.

But fate had its own way to guide. Something was bound to happen that day.

My school had a big white marble furnished seminar hall at the far end with a huge dice big enough to flock almost five celebrities with all of their bodyguards. All the practicing sessions for the upcoming stage events in auditorium were held here.

It was a fine morning of June. There were entry of many newbies admission in eleventh standard. But I didn't care since I was in my twelvth grade . As usual routine, I went for the choir practice session. The event is scheduled for July.

I skipped important classes of Biology and Physics and ran through the two long flight of staircases to the seminar hall on the second floor.

I entered causually through the wooden door after seeing the flocks of people at the far end on the dice. I walked upto them after closing the doors behind her.

The chill of air conditioned room swept through my wet face. I walked in cursing myself for running all the way up here just to see all of them chatterring away in ease.
I scanned through the crowd my best sister kinda friend Shilpa of junior class to accompany me in practice sessions.

But someone else stealed away my gaze of scanning.

There.. There on the right corner of the dice sat "that boy". The boy thin and lean apt like one for whom I had dreamt of in my fantasies. His tan brown skin didnt glow to attract my eyes but it did match perfectly for his physique.

I maintained a thin figure to match my fantasies. But I still lacked in face with my deep complexion. The glasses never gave in to glorify my beauty either. I was thus the simple girl with specs.

Ram was sitting amidst two girls at the left and a boy on his right on the two feet high dice dangling the legs lesiurely. They seemed to be friends from the same class.

One best thing about my school is they doesn't restrict the friendship bonding with gender bias. Most of the school around down south India has that habit. Thank god I was gifted with a nice school.

With all this thought of the boy in the corner, I continued walking towards the dice with my eyes still on him.

At that spark of the moment our eyes met. My heart went on a short roller coaster ride even by his slight glimpse on me.

I was drawn into the a huge crush at the first sight. I even wanted to shove the girls on his left away and secure a seat next to him right then.
Though I wanted to make that impulsive thought into action myself down and walked to meet Shilpa on the opposite side of the dice.

I went to Shilpa and hugged her warmly as our usual customs. We started on gossiping about the new academic year starters.

All this time I had known someone's eyes were watching over me. I knew that the new boy's eyes were stuck on my every move.

But I ignoring it purposefully. I was playing hard to get even I liked him from the moment my eyes fell on him.

I continued to gossip with shilpa. It eventually went towards the new arrivals at school and That boy on the right corner of dice. Even she noticed him. We were alike in this. We occasionally talked about the pretty boys at school also. We wanted to check on the newbies.

I and Shilpa went to newbies gathered in the hall. Taking up my senior ship in hand, I approached that boy and atlast made my impulsive thought into action by shoving off the girls on the left from the boy of the crowd sat next to him.
I on one mind was happy of what I did to be next to him and also was slightly nervous on the thought of what he might think of me! I am simply a girl though. Action isn't my genre.

I turned to face his glistening dark brown eyes staring into my own black ones.
My most curious question came out.

"Whats your name?" I asked.

He replied curling the corners of his mouth into a slight smile "Ram Venkat".
