Totally On The Wrong Side

It was a hazy morning.
I was late for the class. I running to catch up with my school bus waiting at the far end of the street.

There stood a boy at the last house on the street.

I glaced at him while running towards the bus and hurriedly climbed up the stairs of the bus. I took a window seat behind the entrance bars.

While looking out through the window I wondered: Who was that boy? Why did he wave his hand at me?

I reached my class in the same dilemma and sat on my same old last bench. The class went on smoothly until it happened.

There stood the same boy at the entrance of the classroom. He had a notebook in his hands. He walked straight into the class and handed over the notebook to me and walked out. I diligently opened it to see a red paper inside it.

The paper had a neatly scripted handwriting. It was addressed to me saying:

"Hay Riya,
You look exceptionally beautiful for being the way you are.
You make my eyes glued on to you all the time you walk on our street.
You were always cute while you walk away ignoring the eyes following you all the time.
You stole my heart when you looked at me for the first time today.
I hope I could steal more such glances by making you as mine.

And will you be mine?

With Love
The Boy of your Street."

My smile went ear to ear just by reading the letter of my secret admirer.

Riya.. Riya..

Wow he is even calling me to come outside to talk. I wondered is he going to tell the same thing written on that letter!!

Riya.. Riya.. Enough now!

No...I guess its not his voice. This seems to be more familiar voice. And why is it getting louder?

"Riya do you know what the time is? And will you ever know that your school bus will be here in 15 minutes?" my Father brought me out of my sweet dream.

I recognized the voice of my Dad shrieking at its top note making it even more hard to hear. So I springed up from the bed with the sweet memory of the dream. I rushed in to finish my morning chores.

But I didn't remember the face of that boy as clearly as I remembered the exact words of that love letter.
It was my first time receiving one even if its in a dream.

I laughed at my own reflection while combing my messy curls when I thought about that letter again.

I wondered how the face looked like without that blur on it. With a good memory on store I went to school that day.

It happened a week ago.

Exactly, a week ago, I still remember saying the whole dream to Renuka and Ranjini without even missing any words of that love letter.

And Now, after a week had passed there stood a boy with a notebook in his hand at the class door as same as that dream. That too adding up my shock was the recent crush I met in the morning.
