it was now the next day and all i have been thinking about was maya. it was as if she was haunting me. i had only seen her once today and that was when i caught her staring at me in the morning before school started. she was with me and michael at the cafeteria eating the shitty breakfast they gave us and every time i would even acknowledge her presence my heart started racing.

i had realized last night when i got home that the feelings i had towards her had changed. she wasn't just my best friend's hot step-sister anymore, she was way more now. my little crush was something much bigger and i wasn't really sure why, besides the fact that she had sucked my dick.

i really liked her but i had to face reality and remind myself that me and her will never happen. michael would kill me and i doubt she would risk it all to be with a guy like me.

i even tried to tell ash about what had happened, without names of course, but since i tried my best to not make him suspect anything he gave me the worst advice possible. told me to fight for her and to not give a fuck about what anyone else thinks. in this case, i couldn't to that at all, i cared about maya but michael wouldn't hesitate to do something to me for violating bro code. i was stuck and had no choice but to keep my mouth shut.

ever since this morning, i have been dreading to even go eat lunch but i knew if i didn't show up i would be faced with way more questions. so i forced myself to go and that's where i found myself now.

"so i heard hood is throwing the party this weekend," michael spoke as he ate his bag of chips.

"ah, the annual beginning of the year party. how could we forget?" ashton looked up from his phone and smiled.

"can't wait to get shit-faced, i haven't been to a party since last month," michael laughed.

"every year just gets better and better," i laughed along with michael and remembered about the past ones.

"well, hood sure knows how to throw one hell of a good party," ashton added on.

"who the hell is hood?" maya asked as she stared at us with a confused look on her face.

"he's the captain of the football team, your typical cliché high school jock. knows everyone- especially all the hot chicks around town. but he's mostly known for throwing his famous annual beginning and end of the year parties," michael answered.

"how good could his parties be?" maya laughed lightly.

"they're fucking legendary, everyone goes to them. people from different schools go, even people who are in college. something wild always happens at his parties that's why everyone always shows up to them," michael continued to talk about the parties and even included things that happened in previous years.

"so what day is it? are we going?" maya asked, looking slightly excited.

"saturday and of course we're fucking going," ashton replied.

"yeah, we are going. we always go. we as in ashton, luke, and i. we as in just the three of us. i don't think it'll be good for you to go," michael looked at maya and she shot him a surprised look.

"um, why? you literally just spent the last 10 minutes going on and on about how good this guys parties are. why can't i go?" maya's tone changed to a more serious one. 

"well, because you're new and you have obviously never been to one of his parties, shit, you don't even know the guy. plus, i don't want to have to babysit you. i watch after you all day at school, i don't want to watch you while i'm trying to have fun," michael answered.
