Agent-882

Its Time

      It was about 5 minutes when a bomb exploded and a pelican burst in didn't fire a round, just landed and stayed no hatch opening. Like everything just died just after it landed

     "Steel team surround the aircraft I will try to see inside" David said and looked at CT

     "CT stand next to Sammy" he said and the team did as ordered. David walked to the front and looked through the windshield. Multiple friendly lights pinged on his HUD, he will have to get that fixed but it proves that there were people in the pelican. David then saw a kind of warping towards the door.

     "Their plan was to cloak themselves and attack us that way, smart, but smart enough" David whispered to himself he looked at his team and did a series of  "quiet" gestures and everyone nodded

      "Looks like we're clear, I see nothing, may be piloted by an AI  or went on autopilot, get back to what your where doing" david said loud enough  so everyone inside could hear it and he left the front and went to the back while the team followed pursuit.

     A minute later when they thought our guard was down burst out and was met with 8 rounds of bullets that locked up the armor of the one struck, maine, Tex, and carolina were the only three left standing.

     "Where is Agent Alaska?! Tell me before things get messy, and CT follow me that's an order!" Carolina said with anger in her voice

     "Why do I have to tell you when I can show you" David said and laughed under his breath

     "Do it" She said and lowered her weapon that's when David attacked knocking her out and tuned towards the other two who got the bullets and their armor locked up.

     "You couldn't tell by the height, Agent Alaska is me" david said as the team started to cuff them up

     "And I don't get orders from you anymore" CT said

     "Start grabbing them and bringing them to the cells" David said and grabbed Maine who growled in protest but couldn't move or fight back.

     "Sammy investigate the pelican make sure there is no one else in it" david said and Sammy nodded. CT picked up Wash and stood by David. And they started walking

     "Thank you for the help CT" David said

     "It's not like I had a choice,but I did I would have helped anyway, unless, you know, I was ordered not to" CT said and laughed they made it to the armory and got their armor off. David stepped off the platform and went to Samantha who was just getting her helmet off and she stepped off the platform.

"Do you know if we need to wear any uniform?" David asked her

"As far as I know, PT clothes is it" Sammy replied and they walked into their racks going to the foot chest and pulling out their clothing to get in the shower

David went first while Sammy watched CT and then Sammy got in and David watched CT

When they were all cleaned in in their PT clothes they sat down on a couch and just talked for a bit

"Why was Mendez being so... kind to us, we fought one battle and it wasn't much of a battle, we just 'paralyzed' them not like fighting the covenant or the insurrection" Sammy asked

"Do you think he, felt bad? For putting everyone through all that training" David said and realized it was kind of a stupid question

"If he could train us the same way he trained them, then there is no way he'd feel bad, and I've never seen him look like he had some remorse on his shoulders" Sammy said

"Do you think UNSC is going to get rid of us?" David asked and Sammy looked surprised

"No way, we costed to much" Sammy said trying not to think of it

"But we're aging, look at us, I can hardly breathe, you've been having muscle spasms, and blue team from what I heard went AWOL, were not fighting like we used to" David said

"Even if we are aging it doesn't mean our minds are giving out, you know the reason you can hardly breathe, don't blame it on age. We can be like all the other Spartan IIs that we're crippled during.... our first mission... we can do computer work" Sammy said being sure not to mention augmentations knowing CT is around

"And leave the safety of the universe in the IVs and Vs hands, that's not my cup of tea" David said and leaned back on the couch putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes

"You seem tired" Sammy said

"Telling the truth, I have no clue as to why I'm so tired" David said and yawned

"I have done nothing very active let alone enough to make me tired" David said and yawned again

"All the missions we've been on has been easier on everyone. One being infiltrate a very small covenant camp. With only about 50 grunts and 1 elite" Sammy said and Davids eye opened slightly

"What are gonna do about this, are we like getting a new commander or something where they don't know our breaking point, or are they calling us old because being 47 isn't very old compared to Sgt Johnson" David said and Sammy laughed some

"I don't know, David if your so tired you can sleep I'd still be awake so you don't have to worry about CT running off" Sammy said and with a nod David went to sleep

"I didn't know you were 47, how long have you actually been in service" CT asked not wanting to make eye contact so she looked at the ground

"41 years" Sammy said and CT perked up

"YOU ENLISTED WHEN YOU WERE 6?!" CT said loudly

"Quiet, That is kinda classified" sammy said and CT slammed her hands over her mouth

     "And we didn't enlist, we were forced to join, not given any mercy while training, and some casualties due to stuff like a sudden cardiac arrest and heart attacks. Only the strong survived, when we were 14 during a 'mission' that made us into true super soldiers, David almost didn't make it, he became severely crippled and even to this day has trouble breathing. Though his story is not one for me to tell" Sammy said finally relieved to be able to tell someone and CT stood up walking toward Sammy, without warning she gave her a hug and Sammy tensed up not used to the physical contact

     "I'm sorry you had to go through that" CT said

     "Nah it's fine I actually enjoy being a spartan and I would have joined even if I wasn't forced" Sammy said and CT released the his and sat back where she was
