Nasa office ako at busy sa pagche-check ng financial statements ng company. Natambakan ako ng trabaho because of my 3 days vacation. Subsob ako sa table ko when Renica walk in to my office.
"Goddess pinapatawag po kayo ni Mrs. Flores sa office niya." I checked my wrist watch, it's already 10:16 AM, bakit kaya ako pinapatawag ni Madam? *sigh*
"Alright Renica, tell her just a minute..." sabi ko ng hindi ngumingiti
Lumabas na si Renica at ako naman inayos ko ang mga gamit sa table ko at tumungo na sa office ni Madam Flores. Siya yung supervisor na nagtap sa shoulder ko nung birthday ko. Nang nasa tapat na ako ng office niya, nag umpisa na ako kumatok.
"Come in!" sigaw niya mula sa loob
"Good morning Madam!" bati ko sa kanya
"Good morning din Miss Barcelona! I know you're wondering kung bakit kita pinatawag ngayon." nakangiti siya, but I don't like the way she smiles. Something's not right!
"Sort of Madam...." plain kong sagot
"It's nothing but please have a seat first. *Umupo muna ako* I just want to ask how was your vacation?" napakunot ang noo ko pero sinagot ko pa rin siya
"It's great madam. I had fun. I met a new friend and he's a guy. I found the peace of mind I'm looking for and I've been relaxed." plain pa rin na sagot ko
"That's great! *tumango-tango siya* Good to know that you've been relaxed because I will be sending you to the other branch of our company. Oh! It's not really my decision but they have requested for you if you can work with them for a week. It's located in New York. Now, start packing your things 'cause your flight will be on Wednesday. One more thing, you will be using the private plane of the new CEO of SAP Inc." medyo nawindang ako sa pinagsasabi ni Madam kaya naman nagsalita ako
"BUT MADAM! Kakabalik ko lang po. Ayaw niyo na po ba sa akin?" lungkot-lungkutan ang boses ko pero ang totoo BV na ako. Argh!
"You're silly Miss Barcelona. Of course not, I like you working under my supervision. *chuckles* Kaya nga one week ka lang dun dahil hindi ako pumayag na kunin ka nila ng matagal. Do you know that they want you to work there permanently?" natatawa pa niyang sabi
"Thank you Madam! But sino ba ang nagrequest sa akin sa New York?" medyo curious kasi ako
"I'm not sure but I heard it's the new CEO. So that's it! It's final! No more But's. Have a good day, Miss Barcelona. You may go now." lumabas na ako ng office ni Madam
WTF! Hindi talaga ako nakahindi eh. Tsk. Lutang akong pumasok sa office ko at pabagsak na umupo sa swivel chair ko at iniikot ko yun saka pumikit. Fuck! I think I'm going to have a migraine!
Lunch break, niyaya ako ni Renica at Hell maglunch sa labas at pumayag naman ako. Pagkapasok namin sa Shakey's, nakita kong nakaupo si Cj, Zelle at Bae na... Hinihintay ata kami?
