4. Mall shenanigans

---Hoshi POV---

I opened the front door of the dorm, after my morning walk, and as I removed my shoes, I saw Minghao sitting on one of the stools and Jun cutting up some apples. I looked at them, confused, as I walked towards the fridge to grab a water bottle.

"How come you're both up so early?" I asked as Minghao ate some of the apple slices.

"Minghao and I woke up to talk to our parents through skype" Jun answered as I nodded and offered me some apple slices, which I thanked him for and quickly ate.

"Don't you guys think Chan was sort of acting weird yesterday?" Minghao asked as we all sat on the couch and shared the left over fruit.

"I guess? I guess he's just really happy about something" I responded as I shrugged my shoulders.

"But it isn't the first time he's like that" Jun said "There's always small moments he's like really bright and stuff" he paused as me and Minghao waited for him to continue. "Not like he isn't happy, but sometimes they come at random, like he could be just fine or even quite tired and suddenly he's full of energy out of nowhere" Minghao and I nodded at Jun's observation.

I suddenly heard light footsteps and shushed the two to stop talking. From the hallway, came a sleepy and quite grumpy Chan looking at his phone. He didn't notice us and we unanimously decided on staying quiet.

I smiled from ear to ear as I stared at my screen, my face probably cherry red. I suddenly thought I should buy him a gift since I'm going to the mall in a bit. As I thought of things to get him, an awkward cough broke me from my thoughts. I froze and looked in the direction of its source. There, sitting on the couches, I saw the rest of the performance team staring at me.

---Hoshi POV---

"haha...hey guys...didn't see you there...morning" Chan greeted us with a flustered face and nervous voice. "I'll just take a quick shower and we can go" he said as he dashed back into the hallway and into our room.

"See Sooyoung-hyung, were not making this stuff up" Minghao said as he saw Dino close the door to our room.

"I think you guys might be reading too much into it" I responded as the two rolled their eyes "I mean its not like he could be hiding anything from us" I paused as I realised what I had just said. I'm probably going to regret this.
