jonah ran up to his friend as he walked into the classroom.
"jacky!" the small boy exclaimed and the other boy lit up with joy.
"jojo!" the two hugged and held each other as if they hadn't seen one another for years. when reality was they saw each other yesterday, but that just showed how close they were to each other.
they went over and sat with the other six year olds as the teacher began to talk about the alphabet.
"a is for apples." the teacher spoke. the class repeated the lady. it became very boring for the two six year old brunettes, but for the sake of their parents and students around them, they paid attention; very little though.
jonah felt something watching him though. he looked quickly around the room; only finding a dark corner, a bunch of back packs, tables, and other play stuff for the kids. the corner interested him.
as he stared into the darkness, he could almost make out a pair of blue eyes. they chilled his spine. then one winked and he felt a shiver course through his body. the boy turned back to the teacher.
did darkness just wink at me?
