The Universe is a Hologram

Dipper POV

Idiots. They're all a bunch of idiots. They'll regret this. I'll make sure of that. But first, I need to find him. I need to find Daniel. I may sound selfish, but I only see him as an opportunity. Nothing less, nothing more.

I walked around the Pine trees, tripping every now and then. Stupid toddler legs. I kept walking until I heard someone. "Honey! Where are you? Sweetheart! Please come out, " yelled the person. They sounded familiar, but I'm not sure.

The voice got closer and closer. I began to panic. I need to hide. I spotted a medium-sized bush. I ran and leaped towards the bush and hid. Don't. Make. A. Noise. I peeked one of my eyes out. I didn't see much but a pair of legs with pants and brown boots on. I watched them move, carefully.

After a good 8 minutes or so, they stopped yelling. They backed up against a tree and sat down. And there I saw Daniel. My eyes widen. How could I not have recognized him earlier?

I stepped out the bush and caught Daniel's attention.

"W-Wait. Alkaid? What are you- WAIT. Have you seen Bill," he asked with a panicked expression.

"I'm sorry, but no. What happened...? Is he missing?" I fumbled with the sleeves of the straight jacket.

Daniel sighed showing a distraught expression.

"He wandered out of the building earlier. That cheeky little boy somehow didn't get caught. I'm so worried! Where could he-" A voice cut him off.

"Dipper? Wait...d-dad?" I turned around and saw Bill. His yellow sweater was scruffy and slightly dirty.

"BILL! YOU LITTLE DORITO! WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?" Daniel yelled as he ran towards Bill. Bill wore a scared face. He's sweating bullets as his dad loomed over him.

"I-I'm sorry dad! I was just- I was curious! You never let me go out a-and-"

"I had my reasons, Bill! What if you got hurt? What if we never found you? Do you think people won't hurt you? Life is not a game, Bill! You can get hurt! You can die! I-" Bill began to cry. He muffled his sobs with his sweater.

He mumbled, "I'm sorry." Tears stream down his cheeks non-stop. I felt sympathy for him. He was just curious, which I can relate to. Curiosity makes you do things you may or may not regret later on.

Daniel sighs and hugs Bill. Bill's eyes widen and his arms shakily hugs Daniel back.

"I was just worried, " Daniel said "I love you so much my little corn chip. I just don't want my baby boy get hurt! I wouldn't be able to handle it!"

He lets out a shaky breath. "Just...just promise me that you won't go out alone. The world is a dangerous place. Unpredictable and mysterious. Please..."

Bill looked his dad in the eyes and nodded. Daniel smiled and wipes off Bill's tears. Daniel's expression then changed and he looked straight at me. I suddenly felt nervous and intimidated. He had this aura of power around him.

"Why are you here, " Daniel asked. I wasn't able to respond for a few awkward seconds. His aura is just so...so powerful and fierce. I had to stop myself from kneeling before him. It was that powerful.

"I was actually looking for you, s-sir, " I said quite timidly. Daniel was definitely from a powerful bloodline, but which one?

"Oh? Why were you looking for me, little one? Are you considering...?"

"U-Um. Yes sir! I wanted to be a part of your family, mister," I said nervously mixed with eagerness.

He had this look of shock and surprise on his face which then changed into a genuine look of joy. He had this kind smile and look of love and care in his eyes.

He put his hand on my shoulder. He then said, "Welcome to the family, Alkaid."

In all seriousness, I'm really sorry I haven't published an actual chapter in forever! I've been losing motivation and keep getting sucked into new fandoms (currently getting sucked in the PJO/HOO fandom. Thanks @EJ_Vuorinen.) I'm also slowly going into the "original stories phase", so that's a trip all on its own. I'll try to write and publish more, but I'm not making any promises.I'm also going to edit the older chapters since they're all pretty...pretty cringe and gramatically wrong in many paragraphs (pretty sure this one too lmao). Hope you guys don't mind!)
