Chapter 1: Talk

Keep in mind that this story is fictional and things that happen in this story are not true. Also keep in mind that in this book is set in 2489 and not 2014

 Abby's POV

"Abby,could you come out here for a minute. We need to talk."said my dad, The King James, who was THE most respected person in the whole human kingdom, Enchance . He always taught me that I should listen to my heart and do whatever I want and never let the fear of striking out keep me from playing the ball, But he also taught that my life is not normal at all, A lot of the younger girls in my kingdom look up to me so, I have to be careful of what I do.

Our Kingdom was the only human kingdom left in the whole wide world. The vampires took over the rest of the world. I HATE the vampires because the treat human like shit, total shit and have no respect for them what so ever. The only thing I hated more than the vampire was their leader Harry, HARRY STYLES. 

"Yes, dad. What did you want to talk about ?"  I said not knowing what was coming out of his mouth next.

"Honey, Me and your Mom have decided that it's time for you to get married" My mouth drops as he says those words. Married! MARRIED!!!! But I am only what 18 years old.

"Dad,what are you talking about, I am only 18 years old. No I can't marry someone when I am only 18" I said with anger and concern. But seriously getting married at 18 is very very pathetic, I mean my older sister got married when she was 26 and with who she loved so, why do I have to get married right away. I mean I have only have been 18 for two months now.

"Look honey, I know this must be hard for you but I have to do this you. If Harry finds out that I have a single daughter, I know he will try and do something to you and I can't let that happen to you." my dad said with equal amount of concern and seriousness. Just hearing his name make want to get up and throw a dozen plates at the ground to express my anxiety. All he ever wants to do is to prove humans that they are not worth shit and that the should all die. All he ever wanted to do was to enlarge his empire without thinking about what will it do to other people, not just humans but vampire too. I never meet him in person but I heard enough about him to know that he is no angel. I mean who could be so cold and heartless.

"But dad, that does not mean that I have to get married right away, I mean I have lived in this castle for 18 years and nothing happened so, what makes you think that something will happen now " I said and it was true I did survive 18 years without a single scratch on my body. Whenever I wanted to go to the city my dad always made take the guards with me but one time when we got attacked by stupid and heartless vampires, I ended up saving my guards. I always thought that if a guy can do it so why can't I and I always tried my hardest to succeed. 

"Abigail Alexandra Johnson, You have to get married and THIS WILL BE MY FINAL DECISION, you can either like it or learn to live with it, but you will be getting married to the guy I trust the most." My dad said in anger and full volume. And before I could say anything he just stormed out of the room. I let out a loud groan and look at my mom who was silent the whole time and just stared at me.What did I do to deserve this?

"You are gonna let him do this, MOM" I shouted 

"He is doing it for your sake honey.Trust me it is not easy for either of us " my mom said calmly but meaning each of the words.

" I know your father didn't want me to say this but I think that you should know anyway, Our kingdom is in danger and it's coming form Enlight. So we have to make sure that you are safe. Before you ask any question let me say this, I can't tell you anything more than this." She said with a disapointment. WHAT THE HELL DOES SHE MEAN BY THAT!!! With all the emotion attacking me inside, I had to get some fresh air and get away from all of this for the night.

" I need to get out here for a while" I stated frustratingly.

"Look I understand where you are coming from honey so why don't you call some of your friends and go out for a night without any guards. I will let your father know" My mom suggested

" That sounds like a good idea, I'll call Sarah and let her know but don't expect me to come home tonight." I stated a little calmly.

"Okay sweetheart, Be careful" She said with a smile.

After leaving the living room, I went straight to my room and took out my phone to text my best friend Sarah.

Hey Sarah, Are you free tonight ?? 

she almost immediately responded

Yeah, Wanna have a girls night out just the two of us!!!!

After a second, another text popped up!

We can go to the city fair!! :)

I started typing 

You read my mind. I'll pick you up in about 30 minutes. Bye

She responded 

Bye 

I decided to wear a cute white tank top with a cute pattern around the neck and some black leggings and some matching jewellery and a brown pair of long boots with a matching scarf. And then I did my make up.

After getting ready, I looked at the time and it had already been 20 minutes so I started Proceeding towards my car and on my way I saw mom.

"Bye mom" I said a little happily

"Bye honey, Drive safe" She said with a cherishing smile in her face.

After a 25 minutes I parked at Sarah's drive way where I see her wearing a red top and some white jeans and white keds with a white-grayish scarf around her neck with matching jewellery. I didn't mind getting out since she was already waiting for me outside anyway and she just hopped in and buckled up.

"Ready to get this girls night started" she said with a smile on her face.

"You have no idea" I said with a small smile.
