The morning her life changed, the sky was grey. The breeze was cold and Eliza was lonely. Granted, she was walking with her sisters to their dorm, the first of August. She had a month before classes started. How great. They set up their things, three cots lining one wall, a bedside table between each bed. Eliza's sky blue covers matched all everything she owned. She unloaded her clothes into one of three closets, taking the one on the far left.

Their room was unusually large, having a couch and microwave, along with a TV and coffeemaker. Her sisters unloaded as well, Angelica taking the middle bed and closet, Peggy taking the far right for beds and closets. Angelica took the opportunity to hand photos of their family on the walls. Her bed was pale pink and her throw pillows white.

Peggy, on the other hand, was utterly a disaster (per usual). Her covers weren't made too well, they were yellow and striped. Her pillows had unicorns and kittens on them, her sheets a blinding neon pink. She hung up posters and drawings she had made on a crooked cork board, seeming very proud of herself for hanging it, oblivious of how crooked it was.

"Peggy, it's crooked..." Eliza whispered to her sister, pointing at it.

"Shoot!" She moved it around until it was straight.

"I'm going to find a coffee shop," Angelica declared.

"Oh, I saw one on our way in!" Peggy called after her sister. Peggy peeked her head around the door.
"C'mon, 'Liza!" Eliza chuckled.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming."

He heaved his things in the door, smacking a suit case on the far bed. He put his laptop on the desk and started putting his clothes in the doors. He looked around, before taking a container out of his long coat, the container having holes poked in it. He ran to the bathroom and opened up the container. He removed the animal and put it in the sink.

"Is that a turtle?"

He jumped, dropping the container. "Oh, Herc, it's just you." Said the boy.

"John, I thought you were going to leave him behind." Hercules said, slightly disappointed.

"I tried?" John explained.

Another person entered the room.

"John, why do you have the turtle?" Lafayette asked.

"'The turtle' has a name, Laf." John crosses his arms.
Then, a fourth person entered the room.

"Erm, hello? Is this room 1776?"

Alexander made his way through the winding halls.
1776, 1776, where are you? 1770... 1772... 1774... 1778? Oh, come on! Thought Alexander. A tall man with a beanie entered a room, followed soon after by a lanky man with a bun. 17 freaking 76. How fun. Alex thought, seeing the door they entered.

He opened the door, slowly. "Erm, hello?" Alex asked, shaking like a leaf. "Is this room 1776?"

"Yes, it is!" Said a man he hadn't seen before. He had his curly brown hair in a ponytail. He wore a big m, puffy coat, and was holding a turtle.

"Are you his roommate?" Asked the man with the bun. He had a French accent.

"Yes, I am. Alexander Hamilton." Alex stuck his hand out.

"John Laurens." They shook hands. Soft hands oh wow.

"I'M HERCULES MULLIGAN!" Called the man with the beanie.

"Lafayette," said the French one.

Alex unpacked his few things.

"And THIS is Charlemagne!" Called John Laurens, holding out his turtle. Hercules Mulligan snickered.

"Shhhh-ut up!" Whispered Lafayette.

Love at first sight was a thing Eliza believed in. Now, when the rambunctious boys entered the coffee shop, Eliza was unfazed, until the short, shy, nervous boy sat down with them. He had long hair and seemed to share her personality. She nearly fell over while trying to carry the coffees to the table she shared with her sisters.

"'Liza!" Called Peggy, helping her over.

"What was that?" Angelica asked, surprising a laugh.

"I-I got distracted."

"By the boyyyyysss?" Peggy giggled.

"What? N-No." Eliza turned red.

"You were!" Angelica said, poking her.

"Fine, I was."

John sat with his friends in the coffee shop. He was messing around with his friends, and realized Alex was being awkward.

"Alex, wanna come with me to order coffees?" John asked.

"What? Sure."

"So which one is it?" Angelica asked.

"The one up there, ordering coffees."

"Brown hair, ponytail?" Peggy asked.

"Yeah," sighed Eliza. Two boys carried the coffees to the table. John Laurens and the new kid. The new boy had his straight brown hair in a ponytail. As did Laurens, but she didn't realize that.

(NOTE: this literally has nothing to do with the plot okay)

"Schylers! 10 o'clock!" Called Hercules. Alex looked over.

"Who are they?"

"Rich. Gorgeous. Untouchable." John explained.

"They're coming this way!" Lafayette whisper-yelled.

"Hey, boys." Said the tallest one, wearing a pink dress and her deep brown hair curly.

"Angelica Schuyler," whispered Lafayette, who was on Alex's left, next to Angelica. "Eliza." He then whispered.

She was... gorgeous.
