Alex's POV

I whistled as I made my way to my third class of the day. I sat down and began to write. I sat there, typing away, for what felt like centuries.

"Um... excuse me?" I looked up to see a tall woman in a large, fluffy sweater.

Her eyes and hair were like chocolate, her hair poofy and silky all at once.

"Yes?"

"I'm so sorry to bother you..."

"What do you need?"

"I would like to talk to you. Do you know a James Reynolds?"

"I believe he is in my history class, why?" I asked.

"He's... being not so nice to me." She twirled a strand of hair.

"How so? And why do you need me?" I asked, softly.

"I.. don't know where to go... I came here all alone." She said. "He's beating me... cheating on me..."

"Oh! I am so sorry!" I pulled her into an embrace. "Would you like to chat over coffee? I am sure I can come up with an excuse to skip."

"I... Would love that." She said. "I'm Maria Lewis."

"Alexander Hamilton." I grabbed her by the hand and we walked to the coffee shop. We both ordered drinks, then we sat down.

"So... What has he been doing to you?"

"Didn't I tell you?" She asked.

"Yeah... just..." I started. "Just... rant to me. I'm here for you."

Angelica's POV

"I can't wait for tonight!" Peggy squealed.

Tonight was the party of the century.

Angie: You coming to our place for the party 2nite?

There was a pause before a response.

Hammy: ..There is a party?
Hammy: Sure y not
Angie: ok cool c u there

I locked her phone. The entire school knew about it. And... Peggy was super excited. Per usual.

"Maybe you can flirt with Aleeeexxx!" Cooed Peggy.

"Shut up!" Eliza turned red.

"Someone has a cru-ush!" She mocked.

Time skip and Alex's POV

I arrive at the party and grab a drink. Alcohol, I presume. I saw Maria and James bickering, so I made my way over to them.

"You cheated on me with Martha Manning?!"

(Note: that's Johns wife irl so heh)

"Pumpkin-" James started.

"Don't! I'm done. Don't come over here!" She said. "We're done!"

"You are nothing without me, Maria Lewis!" He hollered. Thankfully they couldn't be heard from 5 feet away because of how loud the music was.

"I.. I don't love you." She started. "I..." she looked at me. "I love Alex."

Well that sobered me up.

"What?" James and I said in unison. I plastered a grin on my face.

She took my arm and linked it with hers. "Ever since he first hugged me I knew he'd be mine..."

"You said you were mine." James said.

"I was yours. But you made out with Martha Manning's at a party last week and I can't forgive that."
How many parties are at this school?

"You are nothing without me!" James Reynolds called. "Nothing!"

She teared up and I held her close. I pecked her forehead, holding her as she cried. I intertwined our fingers before I lead her to the bathroom.

"Oh, Alex!" She threw herself into my arms, sobbing.

"Maria, it's going to be okay." I stroke her hair. She looks up at me.

Our lips press together, she kisses me back.

Angelica's POV

The party isn't at all interesting, so I grab a bottle of wine and go upstairs to the bathroom.

I knock, no answer. I try the doorknob, and it isn't locked. So, I open it.

There I see Alexander and Maria Lewis making out. I run from the room, shutting the door behind me.

I try to find Eliza. She is laughing with Lafayette and Peggy. Good. She hasn't found out yet. It is going to break her heart.

"Eliza!" I call, "Would you be a doll and go find Hercules and John for me?"

She nods and skips away, coming back soon with the boys. She then walks off to go talk to Martha Mannings.

"Boys and Pegs, we have a mission." I said. "Maria and Alex are kissing upstairs, and Eliza cannot find out! Distract her, block the door, do anything as to stop her from knowing for as long as possible." They nod and we're off.
