Sorry I haven't updated i a while! But i did now so enjoy!! -Angela
“And this is my living room. This is where I do most of my things at.” He leaned in and continued. “Which by the way is mostly video games and youtubing.” I looked around. It was actually clean. I was thinking it was going to be so messy but it is really neat. “Wow. A boy who actually cleans.” He sat down on the couch. I followed his suit. “I have to. Its one of the stupid rules I have.” I laid down with my head in his lap. “Not all rules are stupid. That's a really good rule because I don't like guys that don't clean.” I smirked up at him. “Oh yeah? Well if I didn't have the rule I wouldn't do it.” I shrugged. “Then I guess I'm going to have to establish the rule when we get a house together.” He leaned his arm on the arm rest and tilted his head at me. “Are you suggesting that we are going to be together still.” I sat up. “Why not? I'm allowed to think that. I am a girl remember? Girls think far in the future. Now where's your food? I'm hungry.”
I ate dinner with him before I decided it would be good to leave. I needed to go to rehearsal, that's the only reason I left him. We usually practice at Mason's house because he has a recording studio, so we practice in there. It's a good thing he has that because I like listening to what we sound like afterwords. Its really interesting hearing yourself sing. When I showed up Alana ran up to me and hugged me. She had excited feet. I label her that a lot. Its when she doesn't stop moving when she's excited. She does it so much.
“Can you believe it! Just two more days before we get to perform on “The Water Fall!” I'm so excited! Aren't you?” I actually hadn't been thinking about it too much. I don't really think about anything going on that much when I'm with Carter. “I actually forgot it was coming up so fast. But I think we are ready don't you?” I let her babble on like she always did and walked away, nodding like I was listening. Really I just wanted to get this practice over so I could go home and go to sleep. My day has been hectic.
Jason came over to me and sat down on a stool in front of the mike I was setting up. “You okay Kare-Bear? You seem off. Something happen with you and that kid?” I laughed. “His name is Carter and no, nothing happened. Well not with us. Guess who I ran into today?” I've never told him the full story of what happened, but I told him the gist of it. “Joey.” I explained to him what happened today and waited for his reaction. “Why would he want to come after you. It makes no sense. Why would he come after you after all these years?” I shrugged. “That's what I would like to know. So who's ready to practice?”
I got home around nine thirty that night. I was so worn out. I fell onto the couch by my dad, slowly taking off my shoes. “Tired much?” Dad said sarcastically. “No. Mentally tired yes. But do I want to sleep tired? No.” Dad got up and started moving into the dining room. “Well, Laurel and I aren't tired either. Do you want to watch a movie with us?” I got up and followed him. “Sure. Where's Laurel at anyway?” He pointed out the window. She is sitting on the edge of the porch looking down at something. Looks like she's talking to someone but no one's out there with her. “She hasn't been out there long. Talking to someone.” I walked into the kitchen and got out the ice cream. “You want a milkshake dad? I'll make you one.” Dad popped around the corner. “Make that three. If she's not off the phone by then you can take it out to her."
Dad really ended up making them. He kept telling me what to do so I let him take over. “Here, take this to her. I'll be in here waiting.” I grabbed the two milkshakes as my dad made his. I walked over to the sliding door and opened it. I saw Laurel was sitting over by our walkway on the stairs now so I went that direction. I could hear her talking and I didn't want to interrupt so I just sat down beside her. I looked up at her and saw on her face a pair of black sunglasses. “Who are you? Mary J. Blige? Why are you wearing sunglasses?” She whispered a hold on and sat down her tablet face down. “Because my head hurts. Is that for me?” I nodded yes and handed it to her. Her voice was different. It sounded like she was stuffed up and it was shaky. I know those signs. “ It's not even light out. Have you been crying? And don't you dare lie to me because I already know the answer.” She sighed and took off the sunglasses. Her eyes were red and puffy.
