Beth and Duane received death threats from an unidentified perpetrator who said " I'm gonna come to Hawaii and murder your family in cold blood." However, Beth wasn't unnerved by the threats given her bounty hunter background "the threatening email sent a chill down my spine." Beth said. The messages also targeted the young children. One note said " your children looked nice today." One talked about "massacring" the Chapman family. Beth and Duane handed the emails over to the FBI. "The Chapman's are taking these threats seriously and are very concerned about the safety of their family." Duane said "when the person responsible is found, he will prosecute to the full extent of the law.
