Kai POV
We was sitting in this restaurant and Maleyah had a nigga nervous. Then all of a sudden she started smiling.
"Damn bout time you ask me." Leyah said. "I know, I was waiting for the right time tho."
"But duh I wanna be yo girl." I was just happier than a mf. Yo shorty really mine. I leaned over the table and just kissed her until the waitress came and interrupted us.
The rest was cool asf. We just sat and got to know each other more.
Maleyah POV
Few weeks later...
Today marks 4 years since my parent have been gone. Every year around this time, since the accident I tend to get very depressed. I usually shut every one out even Sore'ona.
I dragged myself outta bed and dreadfully walked to the bathroom. Just looking in the mirror reminded me of my mother.
Looking at Major reminded me of my dad. They made sure I had everything I needed and wanted. Thinking about them made me cry.
Contemplating, I decided not to go to school. I just hopped my skinny self back in the bed.
Sore'ona and Camryn knew the deal so they told everyone not to bother me. Today was just the hardest ever for me.
Major went to go handle some business then he was coming back home so we can visit my parents' graves.
I had turned my phone off and just watched Netflix in my room. Just waiting for Major to come home.
Few hours later...
"Leyah, get ready we bout to go," Major yelled waking me up from my slumber. I had this pounding headache from crying myself to sleep.
I went to my bathroom, toke some Advil and through on a bummy outfit. I wasn't in the mood to get dressed up.
"Maleyah, how you holding up," Major asked sincerely. "Not good at all but I'll push through it."
It was like a 20 minute drive to the cemetery so we go there in no time. Before going we stopped and got our parents some flowers.
Jor said some words to our parents but couldn't hold it in so he went back to the car.
I decided to sit at my parents grave and talk to them because a lot has been on my mind.
"Hey mom and dad, I miss y'all a lot. School has been tough but I managed to keep my grades together. I found a guy and he really treats me well like he takes me on dates and makes sure I'm okay. I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend. My birthday is coming up but I don't think I'm going to do anything for it. I just haven't been in the mood. I just wish you guys were here, I don't know how I can continue life without y'all. I just wish I could hug and kiss y'all one more time. I-I just don't know if I can go any longer without y'all." I was now sobbing. I couldn't take it anymore.
"Maleyah turn around." I heard someone say.
Instantly my eyes got wider. My parents were standing right in front of me.
