Chapter 19: puzzle pieces

One week later

I got dressed into tight blank pants and a cropped t-shirt. I walked painfully down the stairs of the hotel and went straight to the desk.
The man at the front desk was a werewolf. he had authority. Most likely a beta.
"Um... hey."
"Hello there bloodsucker. if you are here to ask who brought you here don't even bother because I have been sworn to secrecy."
"Pathetic mutt is what you are."
"Oo I would love to kill you right now but I cant. my master would kill me first."
"Aw scared of a mutt are we."
I didn't know who's territory I was on. but I was not trespassing as I was a vampire and could go anywhere and everywhere when an with whom ever I pleased.
He lunged for me... and shifted mid air. he caught my wrist but I caught is paw and flung him across the floor. he lunged for me again... but a gigantic wolf emerged and stood in front of me protectively... there was only one wolf I knew to be that huge.
"Austin."
He turned his wolf head but turned it back and snarled at the retreating man!
And then I had a flashback... austin Walked into the pub... his eyes locked with mine... I was grinding up against a human an resumed after I broke our eye contact. Austin growled and every eye turned to him.
"What do you want mutt." i bellowed
"You are drunk justice."
"Na sh*t austin."
All the werewolves in the joint looked at me like I was crazy... talking to a future alpha like that!
But hey I didn't care... I was a blood sucker after all.
The man I was grinding against pulled my head up to his and kissed me. it was awful... he tasted like beer and cigarettes and weed. but then again I smelt like vile beer as well...
When the kiss was over I looked over at Austin and gave him a sickly smile. The human took the opportunity to touch my ass. I didn't like that much but Austin was here so I looked at
The disgusting human and smiled up at him...
Austin shook with so much rage I thought the ground might start vibrating... The human released me!
"Aw scared of a mutt are we?"
End of flashback
I looked across the room and saw the human I was grinding against last night. he had bruises and scars along his arms and face. it looked like he had just been beaten almost to death by a werewolf.
Flashback
Austin raced over to the human and lunged his fist forward right into his face... screams echoed the pub. all werewolves retreated to the sides and all humans were taken outside.
Austin beat the human... he was going to die If I didn't do something.
"Austin stop." by he didn't seem to hear me. "Austin enough." I touched his shoulder and he whipped around... Death and anger showing in his eyes.
"Austin enough." my voice was a bare whisper but that was all it took.
I put a hand up to Austin's cheek and he placed his head in my palm. he had calmed down!
He looked me straight in the eye! "mine" and kissed me.
End of flashback
Austin was now looking at me with worried eyes. the human had disappeared and I was huddled against a wall... tears staining my face. I got up and walked up the stairs to the hotel room where I woke up this morning
I sat on the chair across from the bed and closes my eyes.
I looked at my phone on the stool and saw a txt from vans. 'hey babe. I am going back home. I don't know where you are and Austin is missing. love Ya I'm sorry. p.s i saw him!!!!'
I quickly texted back- ' hey it all f Dw okay.'
'K'
And I closed my eyes.
Flashback
Austin ran me up the stairs to a hotel room where all my stuff had strangely been moved to. i shrugged in his arms and then jumped onto the floor... i stumped forward and almost hit the floor... but Austin grabbed my waist and spun me around.
I looked him in the eye. "I love you... Austin."
"I know... and I accept you as my mate."
"I accept you too."
And he bit me. he gave me a mark stating that I was his... he had marked me on my neck.
End of flashback
I opened my eyes and my hand flung up to my neck... there was my mark. My mates mark... sustains mark.
I got up and paced around the living room of the hotel.
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Austin at the door. he walked towards me but stopped when he was just a few meters from me.
"Do you remember?"
"Remember what?"
"Last night."
"I remember some of it."
I looked at Austin and took in his face... it was red and his eyes were bloodshot. he looked so tired! he looked like he had been crying.
"Have you been crying."
"You left me justice."
"Like you'd care... you aren't my mate."
"Don't you remember justice. we are mates again. Please justice."
He took a step towards me and I put my hand out to touch his chest... the Sparks flew all over my body and my mark began to burn... my eyes watered and Austin grabbed my waist to steady me.
Just then a woman walked in... "Austin baby, where were you last night... there was no one there to pleasure me."
I sprinted using my super speed... I jumped and slammed my fist into her face. a loud crack echoed the room and I looked at Austin who had a smirk on his lips... "mine" I spat and smirked back at a surprised austin.
"B*tch."
Austin growled at the female werewolf! he walked up to me, took my hand in his and we ran back to our home.

"well...well well. look who it is! my son and his mate." austins father spat at me when he said the word mate.
"austin son have you told her."
"there is no need... it will not be happening."
"as long as i am alpha it will be happening."
"austin" i whispered.
he looked at me and then his father with determination.
"i Austin challenge you father for the position of Alpha."
