It's not long before Dom comes sauntering over with a tray full of mimosas in hand. He gently places it down in front of Alana and Danielle. "Brunch buffet is over so I snagged you these."
"Sweet," Alana grins, reaching for a glass almost immediately. She looks at Danielle weirdly when her sister just stares at the drinks. "Are you gonna take one or what?"
Danielle nods and downs the drink quickly. "Thanks."
"No worries," Dom smiles. He slides in the booth next to Danielle, causing her to push over a bit. "So what are you ladies doing tomorrow night?"
Alana suddenly finds her mimosa very interesting and looks at it in deep concentration.
"N-nothing, why?" Danielle stutters. She doesn't have the heart to tell Dom they're leaving in less than 24 hours.
"My mate's band is playing a gig tomorrow in Camden," Dom explains. "They're a shit band but hey, the bar has cheap drinks. What more can you ask for? You in?"
Alana looks at Danielle and then back at Dom. She knows Danielle isn't going to say anything based on the pained look on her face. "Actually-"
"We'd love to come!" Danielle interjects. She ignores Alana's glare and continues to look at Dom as he rambles on about his friend.
"Well now that you've said yes," Dom begins with a chuckle. "They're actually an 80's cover band but since you already agreed to come no takesy backsies."
"What are we in, third grade?" Alana snorts.
She winces when Danielle kicks her underneath the table.
"I'll put your names on the VIP list!" Dom beams. He glances back at the bar and sighs when there's a crowd of older gentleman gathered around, impatiently waiting for his return. "Duty calls," he sighs before kissing the side of Danielle's head.
"Hey, I have a question," Alana says dryly. "How are you going to go to the show tomorrow? Are you gonna FaceTime him from an airplane?"
"I don't know," Danielle hisses. She finishes the rest of her mimosa and grips the flimsy glass tightly. "I didn't know what to say! Did you see his cute little face?"
Alana rolls her eyes. "So does this mean you're going to stay?"
"No..."
"So does this mean you're coming home?"
"No..."
"You're ridiculous," Alana complains, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. "I don't understand. You want to stay but you don't want to stay?"
Danielle can only nod. "I...I don't know," she finally whispers.
"Do you know anything?" Alana moans.
"I do know that you're starting to get on my nerves," Danielle quips under her breath.
Alana's mouth falls open in mock offense. "That hurts. Do you want to know what I think?"
"No."
"Well shut up because I'm going to tell you anyway," Alana snaps playfully. "I think you're afraid things are going to work out with Dom. You're so used to those loser hippie boyfriends bailing after a couple of months that you think he's going to do the same. But he won't. I haven't seen you this happy since before He Who Cannot Be Named broke your heart."
Danielle tilts her head in confusion. "Voldermot?"
"Blake!" Alana hisses. "Will you keep up?"
"Why is Blake Voldemort?"
