Monday.
Monday, the worst day in the week. Why you ask? Well, it's the freakin first day of school, I have P.E. first period, and my friend, Lacy, is ironically on vacation.
Trust me, Mr. Reed is not someone you want to get caught by.
Lacy is gonna be out until the end of the month. Stupid vacations.
I walk in, expecting paper balls thrown at me, but surprisingly no one notices me.
As the day goes by, nothing interesting happens, just a few 'heys' 'good to see you' and all that stuff.
P.E. was scary. Mr. Reed is absolute horror. A kid didn't pass the 'height for the pull-ups'-whatever that is-so he had to run the track 30 times. Now, I'm even more scared of him.
Lunch was even more scarier. The lunch lady, Malinda, isn't the slightest happy to be in a school of high schoolers. She acts like she's at prison something.
As I walk out of the school, I see a familiar limo drive near me. A window rolls down, as I already know who it is.
"Hi sweetie!" My dad exclaims as he tells the limo driver to stop in front of me.
Fuck.
Wanna know why I said that? Well, my dad happens to work for the government. So, I'm stuck with over protective parents.
But, over protective parents, make their kids, the best liars.
Not like they ever pay attention to what I do on my time, but still overprotective everywhere I go.
"Hi dad." I say, trying to hide the sarcasm in my voice.
"Pumpkin, do you need a ride home?"
He looked around. "Um, where's Amber then?" Oh wow, smartass.
"I'm waiting for her to come out of English." I say, smartly.
"Oh."
"Yea..."
"Well, see at dinner then."He smiled at me, and before I can say bye, the limo sped away.
"Hey," a sweaty, panting Amber jumped beside me.
"Um, hi." I chuckled.
"You didn't come from PE, did you?" I asked her.
"No, English. But I don't like running, and Mr. Mark's room is all the way across the school." She panted.
"Well, okay then. You're gonna struggle with the 5-mile run on Thursday." I casually say, walking.
"WHAT?!" She said, suddenly catching up with me.
"Yes. Now, can we hurry up? I wanna get new shoes." I hurriedly rush, knowing the mall was very close to Abercrombie High.
Weird name right?
****
"Well that took forever, but I finally found the perfect pumps, and Vans."
"Finally? I thought it would never end!" Amber breathed beside me, still daydreaming about Converse and a skirt mixed together.
We decided to get some food, and passed by a security guard, following a man, covered up, in a disguise.
Hmm..
"Let's get L&L!" My loud best friend shrieked.
"Kay!" I shrieked right back.
After we got our to-go food, we went to Starbucks.
We then headed home, to have our girls' sleepover.
I was about to twist the doorknob when I heard a sound.
A moan. A freaking god damn moan.
Oh, please don't tell me I'm going to have a sister...
Beside me, Amber made a disgusted face. I couldn't blame her though.
"Aw god, Vanessa, you're so tight." My dad breathed.
Wait, Vanessa? My mother's name is Heather, not Vanessa.
Oh god no.
I burst through the door finding my dad doing 'it' with one of his coworkers.
I stare in horror at the sight, and push out the door.
"Amber wait! Let me explain!" My dad yells at me from a distance.
I kept running, as fast as my legs could run.
"Amber!" A familiar voice calls out.
My feet somewhat stop working, and I faceplant, thankfully into the grass.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?!" My overreactive friend panics, pulling me up, as I wipe grass of my face.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Oh. Phew."
"I just... Need some time, and think about my options. Wanna take a walk with me?" I turn to her.
"I don't know.."
"Please? Besides, I'm scared of being out in the dark alone plus I'm pretty sure I'm bound to get lost."
"Alright."
"Okay." I start walking, noticing Jessica isn't trailing behind.
"Jessica?"
She stares off into the distance, at a dark, alley.
"Jessica? What's wrong?" I ask concerned.
She doesn't say anything, more or less look away. I rush to her, quietly, and see what she's pointing at.
At that point, I see the most weirdest, scariest, unexplainable, and weirdest, thing imaginable.
