Callie's POV

It had been weeks since my dad stopped by to tell Jude and I he wanted us to move back with him. I hadn't told anyone about it yet, I didn't have anyone to really tell it to. Accept maybe Brandon, he probably wouldn't understand though. One thing I can always remember my mom saying was that you don't know until you try.

While Brandon and I were upstairs in the band room, I decided to take a break and try to talk to him about my dad.

"Hey Brandon. Would it be okay of I talked to you about something personal?"

"Yeah sure anything, I'll listen."

"Cool, so uhh a couple of weeks ago my father stopped by my house and told me he wanted me and Jude to go live with him. If we did then we would have to leave Anchor Beach."

"That sucks a lot. What's so wrong with living with your dad though? I mean he came here to try and get you and Jude back right?"

"Yes only, my dad...he hasn't been the best dad to Jude and I."

"What do you mean?"

"My father was in prison. He was drunk driving and killed my mother in a car crash."

Brandon didn't say anything. He looked down at his feet with a sad expression on his face. I had never told anyone that. Brandon would be the first person outside of my small family triangle that knows about what my dad did. It actually felt good to get it out again.

Brandon's POV

Her dad killed her mother in a car crash when he was drunk. I never knew that something like that could happen to such a sweet girl and she not be that impacted by it. I wasn't sure what to say after Callie told me that. I felt awful for her.

"I'm sorry that happened to you Callie."

"It's okay, I've learned to move on a little bit from it."

"My advice on moving with your dad is just do what you think is right. I can't tell you weather or not you should go, because I don't know your dad like you do. If you want to go live with him then by all means go ahead."

It sounded a little harsh on my end but she didn't seem to think so.

"I don't think I should. I never know when something like that might happen again."

I smiled. She was planning on staying and that made me happy. I have this feeling inside of me that seems like whenever Callie isn't around it just hurts. When she is around I never want her to leave. I think I'm starting to like her.
