Bella and Katherine were with Jacob in the garage, working on the bikes. Well, Katherine and Jacob were. Bella was sitting and watching.

"Oh, come on." Jacob says as footsteps approached.

"Yo, Jake, you in there?" A voice calls.

Bella and Katherine start grabbing their things but Jacob stops them.

"Oh, it's ok. It's just my boys." Jacob says.

"Hey, Jake." One guy says.

"Hey. Guys, this is Bella and that's Katherine. That's Quil and Embry." Jacob answers.

"I'm Quil Ateara." Quil tries to flirt with the girls.

Katherine chuckles, standing and wiping dirt on her pants.

"So the bike building story is true." Quil says.

"Oh, yea, I taught him everything he knows." Katherine says.

"What about the part where Katherine's his girlfriend?" Quil asks.

"Uhh, we're friends?" Katherine says but it comes out as a question.

"Ohh, burn." Embry says.

"Actually, remember guys. I said they're girls and both my friends." Jake says, horrified at his friends.

"Embry, do you remember him making that distinction?" Quil asks.

"Nope." Embry says.

"Look, Embry, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty either. Definitely Jacobs girl." Quil says.

"Totally." Embry says.

"So you guys have girlfriends?" Katherine asks.

"That's awesome." Bella says.

Jacob laughs.

"Yeah, right. Quil is actually taking his cousin to prom." Jacob says.

"Yeah, that's still alright. You want funny, Black? I'll give you funny." Quil says.

Quil and Jacob then begin to wrestle.

"I got 5 bucks on Quil." Embry says.

"You're on." Bella says.

"Nah, I got $50 on Jacob." Katherine says.

Over the next few days, the Swan twins have been with Jacob. Katherine and Jacob work on the bikes. Sometimes they are together without Bella.

Jacob has been secretly falling for Katherine more and more.

When the bikes were finished, Jacob walks the girls out to the truck.

"So, Quil keeps asking to come over. I think he likes you guys a little too much." Jacob says.

"Oh." Katherine says.

"Not really into the whole cougar thing." Bella says.

"What's up with you and age? I mean how old was that Cullen guy anyway?" Jacob asks.

Bella suddenly got really sad and went to the truck.

"I'll see you later, Jake." Katherine says.

"Ok." Jacob says.

They hug then Katherine got in the truck and Bella drove them home.
