"Are you okay? You seem very distracted. If you feel tired, just rest." Alex said as he noticed Ara zoning out whilst cleaning for the morning before she goes to school.
She sighed as she throws the wet tissue in the trash can.
"I'll go to school already. Call me if something happens." She grabbed her bag and was about to leave when Alex stopped her halfway, giving her a matcha frappucino, her favorite.
"At least drink something. And good luck! Your debate's today, right?" He smiled and she smiled back. She left the restaurant and mounted her bike. She goes to school with her bike, making an excuse to attend gym class but she has no choice anyways.
As she was biking out he way to school, an instinct of hers kicked in and she stopped. She looked at the side and saw a building as tall as some really rich people establishments, not that tall though.
When she started moving again, she suddenly felt something went in her eye. She rubbed it multiple times, trying to remove the imaginary gunk in her eyes. But she did not realize she was still moving on her bike.
"What is this in my eyes? It's stinging." She said in her mind. She squints as she continues to move unconsciously in her bike. Her bike swiveled more and led her to cross the pedestrian lane but...
The light was red.
"Where did that kid go? Alex, can you take this to Ara in her school?"
"Okay, auntie." Alex nodded and grabbed her bag to run after her.
As he was running, his pace stopped and was bombarded with crowds and sirens. He looked around and asked one of the bystanders what happened here.
"A girl riding a bike got into an accident." His hazel-colored eyes widened.
"A student?" He asked calmly, so to not scare the bystander.
"Yes."
"You're riding your bike again? You might get something in your eye."
"No... I need exercise anyways."
"Alright, just don't kill yourself in the process."
"Yes, Alex."
"Oh no..."
