I get up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing like hell in my ear. "Ugh," I moan as I slowly drag myself out of my comfy bed. The fairylights strung up on my wall drag down with me. I glance down at my phone's time. "Come on!" I cry. Yep. I've overslept again. Taffy, my golden retriever starts pulling me by my shirt. "All right! I'm coming!" I inform her. She wags her tail furiously.
I speed into the kitchen and sit on the couch with Taffy and drink a cup of dark, rich coffee (as I like it!) to wake myself up.
After that wake-up call, I get changed into something cool and breezy that the weather permits. I throw on a tee and some denim shorts before slipping into some summer sandals. Even though I have to meet my besties at the mall in half an hour, Taffy's pleading eyes make me take her on a quick jog. So I get changed again. Thanks, Taffy.
After a quick jog around the estate and back, I run back into my bedroom and gaze horrified at the sight that met my eyes on my bed. Taffy, who obviously got to my room before me, is totally trashing up my outfit with her muddy paws! "Off, Taffy! Bad dog! Down! Down, Taffy!" Taffy whimpers and lumbers out of the room looking embarrassed. I have to be at the mall in 10 minutes. Great.
Chloe and Ava are probably there already. I have just enough time to find a new outfit before I go. Easier said than done. Mom has obviously taken my clothes to the laundromat.
I run into my big sister, Sam's (short for Samantha) room and throw on an outfit from her flawless cupboard. Finally. I've gotten dressed!
I run out the front door, jump into my car and speed away to the mall. Great. I'm late again.
