Chapter Three: We buy a supply of chocolate

Tia's POV:

After my regal sister chewed me out and Theda exploded, Twila and I decided to take a little detour back to camp; we couldn't go back to the hunters until we attempted the missson.

Our sisters would not miss us, too busy ranting.

As we turned the corner, Twila and I stopped. She quickly tucked her hair into her cap before giving me a thumbs up. We didn't really need to change to go into the mortal world. I mean come on, those weirdos aren't gonna look any differently at two girls wearing silver camo, me with a fox pin and Twila with her full moon pendant.

I pulled a thin brass key out of my pocket, one of the few things I could do the Thema could not, and stuck it into midair. I turned it thirty degrees to the left and a door appeared. I took the key out and Twila grinned.

"Okay Ti, let's go buy some candy!!" I grinned back then I gestured for her to step through the door.

"After you!" I said jokingly, with a regal accent, imitating my sister. Twila stepped through the door and I followed her, shutting the door behind me. Twila looked around at the giant candy shop.

" Okay," She said. " This is awesome! Theda told me about this place!" Twila dashed around grabbing chocolate, I went up to the guy up front. He had blonde hair, and blue eyes. I couldn't read his name tag! All I got from the jumble of scribbles was Leytr. I slapped my hand on the counter.

"S'cuse me Leytr, I was just wondering, does this coupon still work?" I said, slapping down a coupon I found in Theda's wallet. It was old, and there was some note on the back, but a coupon is a coupon, who cares about little notes when you had chocolate! The guy frowned at the little slip of paper.

" Do you have dyslexia? I had a friend who did. And it's not Leytr it is -"

" Yeah. I get it. Now is it still valid!" I demanded, banging my hand once more. The guy picked it up and glanced at it, and when he turned it over his face went pale.

" Where did you get this!" He demanded, his voice laced with suspicion. I shrugged.

" Is is valid?" I asked. He shook his head.

" No. Answer me!" He shouted. I snatched the coupon out if his hand, and grabbed Twila who had stuffed her long coat with chocolate (and sour candy for Theda). She had also turned her pendant to her shield, and was using it to balance candy.

" Come on Twila, we got to go before Thema and Theda freak!" I said, opening a door.

" Leytr over there says Theda's coupon isn't valid, so let's go!" I said, pulling Twila through the door. Leytr rushed over.

" Wait, did you say Thed-"

I slammed the door closed before he could finish and we appeared in the Artemis cabin where we were banished until we completed Theeny's (Athena's) quest. Waiting for us was Thema and Theda, looking furious. We gulped.

" You stole something from my wallet, and snuck off." Theda scowled. Twila pulled a bag of sours out of her pocket.

" If you let it slide you can have these sour candies and the coupon Leytr said was useless!" She sang. Theda frowned.

"Who?"

"The guy that ran the counter. here's your coupon. he said it wasn't valid anymore." Twila said. Theda's face went red before going calm and accepting the peace offering. She took of Twilas cap.

" You do realize that most of your hair had fallen out, right?" Twila laughed sheepishly.
